Impact Manager (IM) leads and develops a team of AmeriCorps members (ACMs) as idealistic, emerging leaders and practitioners focused on strengthening schools and supporting students to improve performance. Reporting to an Impact Director and working from a partner school(s), the IM plays a critical role in implementing City Year’s school-based Whole School Whole Child (WSWC) service model, mission, and practices. The IM is also an effective talent developer who will support AmeriCorps members through a challenging and rewarding year of service.Job Description

Position OverviewÂ
City Year Greater Boston (CYGB) seek Impact Manager (IM) candidates who will manage and mentor up to twoteams of full-time AmeriCorps members, overseeing the implementation of our service model in the partnerschools we serve in Boston and Everett Public Schools.Â
Impact Managersare responsible for threemain areas: program implementation, corps member program deliveryand experience, and service partner management. The Impact Manager must be effective in relationshipdevelopment and team management, coaching AmeriCorps members (ACMs) per team to deliver attendance,behavior, and courseperformance supports to students, as well as enabling a rewarding, productive,professionaland successful year of service. In this way, the IMis responsible for managing the daily programmatic operations oftheir team and leading them to ensure that all goals and service outcomes are met.Â
Additionally, the Impact Manager serves as the primary City Year liaison in schools, building strong relationshipswith school administrators and personnel to successfully fulfill the services in the Statement of Partnership. Â
Reporting to an Impact Director, the Impact Manager plays a critical role in implementing City Year GreaterBoston’s school-based service model. Impact Managers are expected to serve in person at their school site, excepton days when there are in-person meetings ortrainings. This role is expected towork a 40-hour workweek, withstandard work hours falling between 7am- 5pm, Monday – Friday, depending on the needs of the program.Â

ResponsibilitiesÂ
Service Impact Delivery:Â
• Lead the execution of City Year’s Whole School Whole Child (WSWC) Tier 1 supports and Tier 2interventions.Â
• Oversee whole school and class service implementation, including instructional support, thematic events,andculture enhancement.Â
•Establish clear, measurableobjectives aligned with WSWC goals and capture best practices for communitysharing.Â
•Utilize data analysis from various sources toidentify trends, improve interventions, and enhance ACMperformance.Â
• Supervise and support ACMS in executing coordinator roles and fulfilling service responsibilities.Â

Corps Impact Delivery:Â
• Lead, manage, and coach up to two teams of AmeriCorps members to achieve service performancerequirements, meet AmeriCorps practitioner standards, and support members through their individualequity journeysÂ
• Lead witha strong sense of City Year culture and values, consistently using City Year culture tools; makemeaning of City Year culture and foster strong personal connections to the deeper meaning of our work inschoolsÂ
• Guide ACMs to meet service performance requirements and maximize leadership development potential.Â
• Foster a culture of power and idealism using City Year leadership tools and best practices.Â
•Utilize performance management tools to set expectations,identify strengths, andfacilitate individualdevelopment plans.Â
• Ensure ACMs are committed to student success and equipped to meet City Year standards.Â
• Support the management and development of Returning AmeriCorps Members (RACMs)/Team Leaders.Â

Partner Impact Delivery:Â
• Develop and manage partnerships with school administration and personnel to ensure the necessaryconditions and resources are in place for corps members to deliver academic,attendance and behaviorsupports for students.Â
• Build and cultivate strong partnerships with school leaders and key stakeholders.Â
•Demonstrate understanding of school priorities and collaboratively implement solutions aligned with CityYear goals.Â
•Maintain a strong presence in schools, utilizing student data strategically to gain support for initiatives.Â
• Coach ACMs on developing productive partnerships with teachers and other school staff.Â
• Cultivate strategic community relationships and leverage resources to enhance service performance.Â

QualificationsÂ
• Bachelor's degree in education, Social Work, Urban Studies, Youth Work, or other related field preferredbut experience in management, non-profits, community service and/or youth work, or education isacceptableÂ
• Proven relationships and experience working with/in Boston Public Schools or as a contracted providerwith Boston Public Schools is a plusÂ
• Experience with and the ability to work with principals, assistant principals, and teachers to meet sharedgoals whichincludes having difficult conversations around partnership accountabilityÂ
•Demonstrated ability to work with and lead diverse teams of young adults which includes experiencecoaching young people and working with diverse populations to achieve goalsÂ
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills including active listening skillsÂ
• Strong problem solving, time and project management skills; ability to prioritize projects and tasks, assessand deploy resourcesÂ
• Willingness to take on new challenges, pursue self-development and self-directed learningÂ
• Ability to work as an independent leader and as a team member in a collaborativeenvironmentÂ
•Proficiency in computer skills (i.e. MS Office) and experience using databases todocument service workÂ

Compensation and BenefitsÂ
Full-time employees are entitled to compensationcommensurate with experience. The salary for this role is$60,000. Benefits forfull-time employees include health insurance withFlexible Spending Account,3 weekspaidvacation, holidays, parental leave, 401K, and more.
