Youth Basketball Scorekeeper - Seasonal

Hiring Range: - $15.00 - $16.00

Hours:  Friday Evenings and Saturday Mornings (January -March) 

JOB SUMMARY

Maintain clock and game log during games for Park District’s basketball leagues.

ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS

• Responsible for monitoring game area at all times.
• Must be able to operate game clock.
• Must be able to assemble equipment.
• Must be prompt and present when scheduled.
• Performs the job safely and in compliance with district policies, procedures, work and safetyrules.
• Be familiar with the safe operation of any equipment necessary in accomplishing requiredtasks
• Able to maintain records and standings.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS

• Must be 16 years old or older.
• Ability to communicate in various situations.
• Knowledge of equipment.
• Good knowledge of pertinent safety precautions.
• Ability to maintain positive and effective working relationships with other employees.

SPECIAL CONSIDERATIONS

• Subject to modified/flexible work schedule including nights and weekends.
• Must work around the general population.
• Must work under supervision and direction of the Athletic Supervisor.
• Able to work under stressful situations, including the ability to respond quickly andaccurately to any and all emergencies.

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE

Experience preferred, but not required.
