Position SummaryÂ
The Project Manager will lead multiple construction projects frominception to completion, overseeing design, permitting, procurement, and construction phases. They will manage project scope, contracts with subcontractors, control project schedules, and ensure quality assurance and control processes are followed. Responsibilities include budget management, processing invoices, and regular reporting to the executive team. The Project Manager will alsoprovide leadership and technical guidance, actively contributing to the development of project management tools and processes. Creativity, passion, anda commitment to a high degree of safety are key to success in this role.Â

Key ResponsibilitiesÂ
- Take ownership of multiple, simultaneous construction projects, from design, permitting, procurement, andthrough to construction and project close-out Â
- Ensure design reviews / page turning sessions are held with the stakeholders and own the sign-off processÂ
- Manage contracts with subcontractors, including tenders and review of bids, and managing RFI’s andchange ordersÂ
- Take ownership of project schedule, and clearly understand critical path and opportunities to condense project scheduleÂ
- Ensure Quality Control / Quality Assurance process is adheredto and reviews are performed by testing agencies and consultantsÂ
- Schedule and attend site and/or virtual meetings on a regular/weekly basisÂ
- Take ownership of the budget. Monitoring project performance throughreview of budget KPI’s. Provide regular updates toexecutive teamÂ
- Review and processing of trade & vendor invoicesÂ
- Provide leadership and technical guidance to other team membersÂ
- Participate in the development of project management tools and processesÂ
- Constantly strive to improve company processes and the quality of the finished productÂ

What you bring to YorkÂ
- A minimum of 5+ years’ experience as a project managerÂ
- Professional Engineering or Technology designation is an assetÂ
- Experience working on Design-Build projects in a variety of sectors – light industrial and commercial experiencerequiredÂ
- A solid understanding of current building systems, materials, and building codesÂ
- A proventrack record of managing construction scheduleÂ
- Strong leadership skills and the ability to direct, motivate and inspire a teamÂ
- In-depth knowledge of financial aspects of project management including estimating,
budgeting, cost control and reporting Â
- Capable ofanticipating constructability issues in moderate to complex situations andthinking outside the box to create solutions Â
- Ability to work in a fast-paced organization continually meeting deadlinesÂ
- Motivation, great organizational skillsÂ
- Excellent communication skillsÂ
