The pay range for this position is listed below. Our pay ranges are built to allow for candidates with various levels of skill and experience to be considered, as well as for room for growth and tenure achieved in a role over time. Typical new hire salary offers fall within the minimum to midpoint of a pay range for many candidates. Any offer extended to a candidate will be based upon their unique set of knowledge, skills, education, and experience as well as internal equity.

What You’ll Be Doing

Responsible for delivering technology solutions and architecture designs that meet business needs while aligning with IT Architecture standards and reference architectures. Primary focus is point solutions, enhancements to existing solutions, vendor and technology evaluations, technical documentation, and participation throughout solution design and delivery. Evaluates AI-enabled solutions and recommends approaches that address security, privacy, data governance, responsible AI, scalability, integration, and operational support

• Create solution architecture designs that align with enterprise standards, reference architectures, security requirements, and business objectives.

• Serve as a bridge between technical teams, vendors, business units, and other stakeholders during solution development.

• Evaluate vendors, products, and proposed technologies to determine whether they meet business, security, architecture, integration, and support requirements.

• Collaborate with IT teams and business stakeholders throughout discovery, design, implementation, and production-readiness activities.

• Create and maintain solution architecture diagrams, technical diagrams, data flows, integration designs, architecture decisions, and supporting presentations.

• Review solutions before implementation to confirm alignment with approved designs, standards, and architecture requirements.

• Provide technical expertise related to solution architecture, design, development, testing, integration, delivery, and ongoing support.

• Conduct peer reviews and contribute to IT Architecture processes, standards, reusable patterns, reference architectures, and technology roadmaps.

• Collaborate with Enterprise Architects to ensure architecture artifacts accurately document relevant business processes, data, integrations, applications, infrastructure, security, and technology components.

• Document existing systems and technology portfolios and recommend improvements, modernization opportunities, and technical-debt remediation when appropriate.

• Identify architecture risks, assumptions, dependencies, constraints, and nonfunctional requirements, including availability, resilience, scalability, performance, maintainability, and supportability.

• Participate in architecture governance and review forums and clearly communicate recommendations, decisions, exceptions, and required follow-up actions.

• Evaluate and design AI-enabled solutions that align with enterprise architecture, security, privacy, data governance, and responsible AI requirements.

• Understand common AI architecture patterns, including generative AI, large language models, retrieval-augmented generation, model integration, and AI agent workflows.

• Assess AI solutions for data quality, access controls, accuracy, explainability, scalability, monitoring, and operational support.

• Collaborate with business, Data Services, Information Security, Compliance, and technology teams to document AI architectures, identify risks, and recommend appropriate safeguards.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree or equivalent years of related experience in information technology, computer science, software engineering, or a related field required

• 5-7 years of experience in building/implementation of technology solutions

• ServiceNow Certified System Administrator certification preferred

• ServiceNow Certified Application Developer certification preferred

• One or more relevant ServiceNow Certified Implementation Specialist certifications preferred

• ServiceNow Certified Technical Architect or demonstrated progress toward an advanced ServiceNow architecture credential preferred

• TOGAF certification or familiarity with enterprise architecture frameworks preferred

• License/Certifications - Azure Architecture preferred

• License/Certifications - AWS Architecture preferred

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities

• Experience with AWS, Azure, or comparable cloud platforms.

• Experience creating high-quality technical documentation, architecture diagrams, integration diagrams, and data flows.

• implementation proposals, and solution designs.

• Working knowledge of AI architecture concepts, including generative AI, large language models, retrieval-augmented generation, model integration, and responsible AI controls.

• Broad technical knowledge covering infrastructure, applications, APIs, integrations, identity and access, data, cloud services, security, and software development.

• Ability to translate business needs into practical technical designs and clearly explain architecture decisions, risks, and tradeoffs.

• Strong written, verbal, presentation, facilitation, and stakeholder-management skills.

• Knowledge of ServiceNow platform architecture, standards, integration patterns, technical guardrails, and governance practices that promote platform health, reuse, upgradeability, and minimal customization.

• Ability to evaluate ServiceNow capabilities, configurations, applications, workflows, data models, and integrations and determine the appropriate use of out-of-the-box features, configuration, scoped applications, integrations, or customization.

• Experience providing architectural guidance for ServiceNow implementations, upgrades, new modules, integrations, performance, security, data integrity, access controls, observability, operational readiness, and platform evolution.
