TheCable Jointing Helper is a skilled worker who supports the construction, maintenance, and repair of electrical distribution systems and their associated auxiliary systems.
Duties & Responsibilities:
Perform safely new construction, maintenance, or repair activities on energized and de-energized underground installations, as well as on their associated auxiliary systems, particularly, but not limited to, the power cable sector and activities supporting cable laying preparation and jointing operations (onshore and offshore).
Carry out:
Preparation of jointing areas (onshore and offshore), including all related equipment and work structures (containers/habitats).
Preparation of cables for jointing activities, including handling/snaking operations, cable cutting, and armour cleaning.
Maintenance of equipment and work structures (containers/habitats).
Support cable laying, testing, and power/fiber-optic jointing activities for HV/EHV cables, as required.
Perform cable rigging operations onshore and aboard vessels/platforms.
Carry out minor repairs on HV/EHV cables.
Be able to work independently on assigned activities, even in the absence of the Team Leader.
Frequently work on high-voltage systems (up to 500 kV), demonstrating competence and diligence to ensure personal safety as well as the safety of others.
Be able to safely use and maintain company equipment.
Carry out all other related activities required to complete the work.
Experience, Skills & Abilities
At least 3 years of Technical/Vocational School education (certification).
Valid Category B driving licence.
Basic knowledge of the English language.
Strong teamwork skills.
Ability to communicate clearly and effectively.
Good practical skills.
Travel:Â Up to 45 weeks per year

What we offer you:
Contract Type: Fixed-term contract for 6 months (renewable and/or convertible into a permanent contract)

National Collective Labour Agreement (CCNL):Gomma e Plastica Electrical Cables and Related Industries
Job Classification and Grade: Blue-collar worker – Grade H as provided for under Gomma e Plastica CCNL
Minimum Gross Annual Salary: €24,000
Travel Allowance and Overtime Compensation: based on the geographical area in which the employee performs their duties. Please note that these aspects will be explained in detail during the interview process.
Mobility Requirement: willingness to travel for more than 45 weeks per year is required.
