We're looking for a full-timeSenior Software Engineer to join us in our mission of bringing theION Factory OS to next-generation hardware builders around the globe. We are looking for engineers who leverage AI coding tools to build end-to-end features with unprecedented speed and quality.

Our newest recruit will join the First Resonance team full-time inLos Angeles, CA (HQ in El Segundo) as a foundational member of our product team.

Responsibilities & Duties

• End-to-End Feature Ownership: UseAI-augmented workflows (Claude) to build and deploy full-stack features usingPython (Backend) andNext.js/TypeScript (Frontend).

• API & Data Architecture: Develop high-performanceGraphQL mutations and queries; design relational database models inPostgres that reflect complex industrial processes.

• Cloud Infrastructure: Build and maintain scalable services onAWS, leveraging modern infrastructure patterns.

• AI-Driven Productivity: Lead the team in adopting AI tools to automate boilerplate, refactor legacy logic, and accelerate the "idea-to-production" cycle.

• Technical Leadership: Write design specifications and diagrams (UML/System Flow) that guide both human teammates and AI agents.

• Reliability: Drive code-level architecture, modularity, and comprehensive testing (Pytest, Jest) to ensure ion remains mission-critical for our customers.

Qualifications & Skills

• 6+ years of technical experience: You’ve built and scaled production-grade software.

• AI-Native Workflow: You are "pro-AI" and actively use coding assistants to increase your output and code quality.

• Backend Mastery: Expert-levelPython skills with a deep understanding of ORMs (e.g., SQLAlchemy) and asynchronous processing.

• Modern Frontend: Proficiency inTypeScript,React, andNext.js.

• Cloud & Infra: Hands-on experience withAWS ecosystem and deploying multi-tenant SaaS environments.

• API Design: Strong experience withGraphQL and architectural patterns like Domain Driven Design (DDD) or Event-Driven systems.

• Problem Solver: You enjoy collaborating across departments and "flexing your creative muscle" to solve hardware-world problems with software.

Desired Qualifications

• Experience withInfrastructure as Code (Terraform, CDK).

• Experience building manufacturing tools or working in high-stakes industrial environments.

• Experience writing complex ETL processes for industrial data.
