You will lead a team of engineers responsible for building and improving the pipelines and processes that handle consumer data, ensuring freshness, completeness, security, and privacy, while executing against the roadmap for new features and capabilities that provide useful insights and drive growth for our business.Â
You will sit in Data Products & Platform within the Technology & Digital organization for Disney Experiences. You will work closely with internal segment partners and technical peers from across the company, reporting to a Senior Manager or Director within the org.Â
What You’ll Do:
Partner with stakeholders across the organization to understand business needs and translate them into well-scoped engineering workÂ
Execute against the strategy and roadmap for data products supporting Guest experiences, and contribute ideas that help shape itÂ
Lead a team of engineers day-to-day, balancing delivery against plans with the growth and development of individual team membersÂ
Reinforce a strong culture of best practices and standards in data and engineeringÂ
Serve as a technical resource on delivery practices, able to speak to capabilities and processes with engineers and partners alikeÂ
Support data collection strategies and onboarding processes that enable improved data capabilities while adhering to data privacy requirementsÂ
Stay current on product direction for applicable technologies to understand how shifts in the consumer privacy landscape may affect the Guest data strategyÂ
Required Qualifications & Skills:Â
Minimum of 8+ years related work experience, including 3+ years’ experience leading or mentoring engineersÂ
Solid working knowledge of Data Architecture, Data Warehousing, Advanced Analytics, and Data Science implementationsÂ
Experience with Data Warehouse platforms such as Snowflake and BigQuery, with strong working knowledge of the Snowflake PlatformÂ
Familiarity with Data Lakehouse architectures and formats/standards, such as Parquet and IcebergÂ
Experience designing or maintaining automated, highly available ETL/ELT big data pipelines at scaleÂ
Experience with data transformation and orchestration tools such as dbt and AirflowÂ
Familiarity with data quality practices and tooling such as Data Dog and AnomaloÂ
Familiarity with data security and privacy regulationsÂ
Strong verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to present clearly to both technical and non-technical audiencesÂ
A team player with vision, passion, discipline, and integrityÂ
Demonstrated inclusive and collaborative leadership that embraces diverse thought; experience developing engineers on a teamÂ

Required EducationÂ
Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Software, Electrical or Electronics Engineering, or comparable field of study, and/or equivalent work experienceÂ

The hiring range for this position in Orlando, FL is $163,400.00 to $219,100.00 per year, in Seattle, WA is $179,700.00 to $241,000.00 per year, and in Glendale and Anaheim, CA is $171,600.00 to $230,100.00 per year. The base pay actually offered will take into account internal equity and also may vary depending on the candidate’s geographic region, job-related knowledge, skills, and experience among other factors.
