MEP/Carpentry Foreman

Position Overview

We are seeking an experiencedWorking Foreman to join our commercial construction team. This is a hands-on leadership position for someone with a strong background incommercial tenant improvement and/or ground-up construction who can effectively coordinate crews, communicate with other trades, maintain jobsite safety, and assist the Superintendent with daily project documentation.

The ideal candidate will have a background as aPlumbing, Electrical, Carpentry, or General Construction Foreman and possess a solid understanding of how multiple trades coordinate on a commercial jobsite. Carpentry experience is highly valuable, particularly for candidates who are comfortable reading plans and working through construction details.

This position will initially support an active commercial project and will transition to aground-up medical office building project.

Key Responsibilities

• Coordinate daily with other Foremen to reviewjobsite safety, manpower, scheduling, and project progress
• Lead and work alongside a crew while maintaining productivity and quality standards
• Assist the Superintendent withdaily paperwork, documentation, and project reporting
• Complete daily jobsite entries and maintain accurate records of work performed
• Take and organizedaily progress photos for each subcontractor/trade
• Monitor jobsite progress and communicate potential issues or delays to the Superintendent
• Coordinate work between various trades to help maintain an efficient workflow
• Maintain a safe, clean, and organized jobsite
• Perform hands-on construction work alongside the crew, includingminor detail/finish work and cleanup
• Help ensure work is completed according to plans, specifications, quality standards, and project schedule
• Read and interpret construction plans and drawings when necessary
• Identify potential conflicts between trades and communicate issues proactively
• Assist with maintaining project schedules and coordinating upcoming work
• Support the Superintendent with general field operations and jobsite coordination
• Ensure crews follow company and project-specific safety requirements

Project Background

The successful candidate will have experience working oncommercial construction projects, particularly:

• Commercial Tenant Improvements (TI)
• Ground-up commercial construction
• Medical office or healthcare construction is a plus
• Multi-trade commercial projects
• Projects involving significant MEP coordination

Ideal Candidate

The ideal candidate will have:

• 3+ years of commercial construction experience
• Previous experience as aForeman, Working Foreman, Lead, or similar field leadership role
• Experience withcommercial tenant improvement and/or ground-up construction
• Background with aplumbing, electrical, carpentry, or other commercial construction subcontractor
• Working knowledge ofMEP systems and trade coordination
• Strong understanding of commercial construction sequencing
• Ability to read and understand construction plans is highly preferred
• Strong communication and organizational skills
• Ability to coordinate effectively with other Foremen, subcontractors, and the Superintendent
• Ability to work with a crew while also performing hands-on construction work
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality
• Ability to learn new construction processes, plans, and project requirements quickly
• Reliable transportation and ability to work on an active commercial jobsite

What We're Looking For

This isnot a strictly supervisory Foreman position. The successful candidate should be comfortableworking alongside their crew, jumping in on minor detail work, helping with cleanup, and assisting wherever needed to keep the project moving.

We are looking for someone who can combinehands-on construction skills with field leadership and coordination — someone who can communicate with other Foremen and the Superintendent, understand what needs to happen next, and help make sure the work gets done correctly and safely.

Commercial tenant improvement or ground-up construction experience is strongly preferred.
