## About Sage CareHome care agencies run on relationships — but they're drowning in paperwork. Intake coordinators spend hours manually transcribing calls, building care plans, and chasing follow-ups. That overhead slows agencies down and pulls their attention away from the people they're trying to serve.Sage is building the operating system for home care agencies — an AI-native CRM and virtual assistant that turns every client call and home visit into structured care plans, follow-up tasks, and system records, automatically.We integrate directly with the tools agencies already use (WellSky, AxisCare), work on iOS and desktop, and save agencies over 100 minutes per client intake.We're early, well-funded, and signing agencies fast. Now we're looking for the engineers who'll help us build what comes next.## Role & ResponsibilitiesAs one of Sage’s earliest engineering hires, you’ll play a crucial role in shaping our technical foundation and driving the development of our platform. Reporting directly to the CTO, you’ll have a significant impact on the company's trajectory and growth.You will be responsible for:1. **Full-stack Development** * Implementing agents tailored to the home care industry * Designing, developing, and maintaining our Django application and native iOS app * Implementing responsive and interactive front-end features using [Datastar](https://data-star.dev/) * Creating beautiful and accessible user interfaces with Tailwind CSS and SwiftUI2. **Product Development** * Collaborating with the founders to define product roadmap and features * Translating business requirements into technical specifications * Conducting code reviews and maintaining high code quality standards3. **Technical Strategy** * Evaluating and implementing new technologies to improve our stack, such as what technologies we should choose for our mobile apps * Establishing best practices for software development and documentation * Planning for future technical needs as the company grows## What we’re looking for* Comfortable defining your own scope and operating with autonomy* Experience developing agentic applications* 4+ years of professional experience in full-stack web development* Proficiency with Python and/or iOS development**Nice to haves*** Experience with Datastar* iOS development experience* Knowledge of Tailwind CSS and component libraries like DaisyUI, Basecoat* Experience working in a HIPAA environment* Experience in early-stage startups or as a founding engineer## Compensation/Benefits* A chance to take end to end ownership over what you build* Choice of location in New York or Miami* Competitive salary and equity* Opportunity to shape the technical direction of a growing startup
