We now serve over 2,500 paying customers and have more than tripled our revenue every year in our history.- We’re primarily hiring in our SF and NY offices, but do hire remotely in some cases## **About the role:**As the **Senior Manager, Tax and Filings** , you’ll lead Numeral’s filings operations, overseeing a distributed team responsible for tax filings. You’ll work closely with leadership, the broader Ops team, product, and engineering to ensure accuracy, process discipline, and operational excellence across a team of approx. 50 (and growing!), including offshore contractors.This role is a blend of operational leader, process architect, and people manager.## **What you’ll do:**- **Lead and manage the filings team:** Provide performance management, mentorship, and support to drive high-quality work and accountability.- **Scale processes:** Maximize automation to reduce repetitive tasks so teams can focus on highest leverage opportunities.- **Drive operational excellence:** Design, implement, and refine workflows and processes across filings, customer support, and client teams.- **Ensure compliance and accuracy:** Troubleshoot discrepancies in accounting or filings, and lead research projects on new regulatory rules.- **Partner cross-functionally:** Work closely with product and engineering to communicate business issues, escalate risks, and contribute to operational solutions.## **What you’ll bring:**- 7+ years of demonstrated domain expertise in U.S. tax filings; international experience a plus.- Proven experience managing distributed teams with strong performance management and process implementation skills.- Experience building scalable processes in a startup, high-growth environment or consulting firm.- Experience in e-commerce, SaaS or Fintech is highly preferred.- Familiarity with regulatory reporting systems, tools, or platforms used in finance and filings.- Strong analytical and Excel/data skills.- Excellent communication skills.- Critical thinker with a proactive problem-solving mindset.- Proven ability to work cross functionally with product and engineering.- Startup mindset: Not scared of ambiguity and hungry for rapid growth- Intensity & Ownership: This is not a 9-5 — we’re scaling rapidly and have a massive opportunity ahead of us.- Customer Obsession: You deeply care about the user experience and solving their problems## **What we offer:**- Competitive salary and equity - you’ll share directly in the company’s success- Full medical, dental, and vision coverage- Wellness perks like Headspace and the Peloton One App- 401(k) to help you build long-term financial security- Lunch and snacks when you’re in the office- Regular team offsites and company events as we grow- A culture built on ownership - your work matters and people will see it!
