AI-native Robotics
The role
We are a fast-growing Physical AI company founded at MIT. We develop and deploy fleets of purpose-built industrial robots, building a future where AI-native robots handle all the repetitive and physically demanding work. We're looking for a wireless engineer to advance the RF side of that mission: a low-infrastructure, long-range mesh network that keeps autonomous mobile robots connected in some of the harshest RF environments there are - active construction sites and industrial facilities full of steel, concrete, heavy machinery, and constant change. Your effort will directly shape the next generation of our network technology - from link-level behavior and propagation, up through routing, monitoring, and security - and your decisions will directly shape how the fleet scales.**Responsibilities:*** Design, deploy, and optimize long-range sub-GHz mesh networks at industrial facilities and construction sites* Characterize and model RF propagation and coverage in cluttered, dynamic environments with mobile nodes* Conduct wireless site surveys; define antenna placement and link budgets; guide deployment engineers and technicians* Analyze link- and MAC-level behavior to troubleshoot and resolve field issues with minimal customer impact* Evaluate radio platforms, spectrum options, and mesh routing approaches as the fleet grows* Advance our network monitoring, remote administration, and network security capabilities* Document designs, experiments, and test results**Qualifications:*** Bachelor's + 3 years of industry experience, or Master's + 2 years, in EE/CE or a related field* Strong grounding in RF fundamentals and wireless communications - propagation, modulation, link budgets, PHY/MAC behavior* Hands-on experience installing, configuring, and maintaining wireless networks in the real world* Experience conducting wireless site surveys and turning them into working deployments* Comfortable working low in the stack and diagnosing problems from spectrum to packets* Strong analytical skills; able to work independently and with a small team* Willingness to travel occasionally for site surveys, deployments, and troubleshootings**Preferred but not required:*** Experience with sub-GHz or other long-range wireless protocols* Comfort with Linux, scripting, or C/C++ for test automation and tooling* Familiarity with network security monitoring* Wireless networking certificationsWe are a fast-paced, highly technical organization. Teams are small and agile, autonomy is expected, and every engineer sees their work go from idea to deployed, high-value product. The wireless layer is early enough that you won't be maintaining someone else's decisions - you'll be making them. We'll be excited to learn more about you and welcome you to the Team!
