We unplug managed EV chargers for multi-user environments such as apartment buildings, offices, hotels and more from the internet. Why? The IoT architecture used by most EV chargers today adds cost, installation complexity, and poor user experience when connectivity breaks down (underground, in rural environments, or even during a sporting event). Is it really OK that EV chargers stop working when too many people make a phone call? We fix it! Our patent-pending SecureCharge technology provides secure, scalable management (access control, consumption reporting, telemetry, etc) from ultra-low-cost EV chargers installed anywhere -- with no internet connection at the charger and no internet connection required on the mobile app to use the charger. This provides: * **Lower Cost of Ownership**. HeyCharge chargers have a patent-pending communications architecture that lowers the cost of hardware, installation, and communication costs. * **Consumption Metering & Invoicing**. Our solution covers the measurement of energy consumption for invoicing. * **Manage Multi-User EV Charging Operation**. HeyCharge Management Platform offers everything that is needed for the commissioning, operation, and maintenance of your charging network. * **End-to-End Solution**. HeyCharge delivers customers a simplified and complete EV charging solution that includes hardware, a B2B and B2C software platform and also allows for the monitoring and sale of power to EV owners. * **Easy to Install**. Any electrician can install and activate your HeyCharge chargers without any additional training. We've productized this with a range of hardware devices for the US and European market, and an offer to residential and commercial building operators to supply, install and operate the entire infrastructure in those buildings. We also supply an embeddable, B2B technology platform where customers can built *their own* EV charging product and embed into their own mobile app, but with the unique advantages of our technology.

The role

# Summary HeyCharge is an early-stage, VC-backed Munich, Germany-based startup specializing in ultra-low-cost, scalable electric car charging solutions for indoor environments like apartment building parking garages, offices, and more. We recently graduated from Y Combinator's Summer 2021 batch. As our product roadmap and feature design grows more complex, we seek a visionary and capable technical product manager to bring improved depth and quality of execution to each product and feature. You'll be responsible for the entire lifecycle of feature and product development, from identifying opportunities to defining, implementing, and testing the completed product and feature. Then, you'll take the product/feature through the necessary legal, regulatory, and related approvals processes in order to be able to enter our markets around the world. # Responsibilities - Identify, design, and test product features (as well as entirely new B2C and B2B hardware/software products). - Maintain feature and product roadmap across HeyCharge product portfolio. - Identify and execute legal and regulatory steps as required to bring products to market in various countries. - Work with hybrid remote engineering team to implement features and maintain/improve quality. - Spend time speaking with customers and potential customers globally to identify and understand pain points and potential solutions. - Liaise with leadership team to align on product roadmap and priorities. - Liaise with business development team on commercial models. # Qualifications - Technical Product Manager or related experience for both **hardware** and **software.** - Ability to conceptualize and design user experience. - Excellent English and German written and spoken skills. - Experience with EV Charging is desirable. - Experience with similar product types (IoT, Bluetooth, embedded + mobile app, etc) is a must. # Personal Attributes - Good fit to HeyCharge company values. - Intensely focused on the user perspective. - Meticulously detail-oriented. - Strong organizational and interpersonal skills. - Lives by "if it's not documented, it doesn't exist" mantra.
