About Adentris
Real-time AI Compliance & Revenue Integrity for Medical Providers
Tech
The interesting thing about Adentris is that it's not one hard problem, it's four, and they stack on top of each other. **Reading software that was never meant to be read.** Most EHRs (Epic, Oracle Health, MEDITECH, athenahealth) either don't expose an API for what we need or take the better part of a year to integrate. So our AI agents operate the interface directly, the way a person would: reading the screen, navigating the workflow, pulling what matters. That's what lets us onboard a new provider in about 30 days instead of twelve months. Getting a UI-driven agent to behave reliably across a dozen systems that all look and act differently is a genuinely hard reliability problem, and it's the foundation everything else sits on. **Processing clinical data at scale.** Behind the agents we're handling data for hundreds of thousands of patients: charts, notes, coding, claims history. It has to be ingested, normalized across wildly inconsistent source systems, and made queryable fast enough to act on. This is a real data-engineering problem, not a wrapper around a model. **Evaluating it in real time against a moving rulebook.** We check documentation and coding against many different rulesets at once: payer rules, coding guidelines, and regulatory constraints that change and often conflict. Doing that in real time, at the moment a claim is being built rather than weeks later, is the core of the product. We run documentation, coding QA, CDI and pre-bill checks as a single pass over the same data instead of four disconnected tools. **Doing all of it under real constraints.** We work with PHI under HIPAA and 42 CFR Part 2, so data segregation, access control and security aren't features we bolt on later, they shape the architecture from the start. And because we sit directly in the claims path, our bar for accuracy and stability is closer to fintech than to typical SaaS. A wrong action isn't a bug ticket, it's someone's claim. We care a lot about correctness, observability, and systems that fail safely. We're a small team, so you'll own real surface area and ship to live US providers, not demos.
The role
Adentris (Y Combinator) builds AI-powered revenue integrity and compliance software for behavioral health and substance use disorder providers. We're now building the services side of the business: a technology-enabled RCM services operation, from a blank page. We're hiring the founder-like leader to build it.This is a hands-on, entrepreneurial role reporting to the Chief Product Officer. You'll define how Adentris delivers RCM services, translate deep billing expertise into product specifications and automation requirements, deliver for the first customers yourself, then hire the team behind you, and work with the founders on acquisitions in the SUD billing services market. You should know what separates an exceptional BH/SUD billing organization from an average one. Your job is to build that judgment into a scalable operation and into software.**The founders**You'd be working directly with all three founders. Dmitry Karpov (CEO) is a second-time YC founder with a track record in B2B enterprise products and go-to-market; he leads executive sales, and you'll be in those rooms with him. Sergey Yudovskiy (CPO), your direct manager, is also a second-time YC founder: he previously ran ElectroNeek (YC W20) as CEO, scaling it to \~$5M ARR across 30+ countries, and comes from a family of physicians, which is why revenue lost to documentation errors is personal, not abstract. Alex Odin (CTO) is a third-time founder who led AI at ManyChat ($140M+ ARR); he owns the multi-agent architecture your automation specs will be built on.**Your first 90 days*** **First 30 days:** get inside our live BH/SUD customer engagements. Map their revenue cycle end to end, take ownership of service delivery for at least one account, and stand up the baseline metrics dashboard: clean-claim rate, denial rate, days in A/R.* **By day 60:** your first process maps and automation specifications are in engineering's hands, and the service delivery model (SOPs, quality controls, staffing plan) exists on paper because you wrote it.* **By day 90:** you've onboarded a customer on the delivery model you designed, joined executive-level sales conversations as the subject-matter expert, and built the first version of our framework for evaluating billing-company acquisition targets.**What you'll own*** The operating model and roadmap for Adentris's automated RCM services offering* Turning real billing operations into process maps, workflows, and product specifications engineering can build against* End-to-end service delivery in BH/SUD: SOPs, quality controls, staffing models, and dashboards on clean-claim rates, denial rates, and days in A/R* Credentialing for Adentris clients, including Medicaid and Medicare* Recruiting and leading the billing operations, implementation, and account management team* Serving as the subject-matter expert in executive-level sales conversations, and generating business through your own network* M&A alongside the founders: sourcing targets in the SUD billing market, operational due diligence, post-acquisition integration**Who you are*** 5+ years in the BH/SUD industry, ideally in founder, CEO, or senior operating roles* Deep command of the SUD revenue cycle: benefits verification, authorizations, coding, claim submission, denials, appeals, collections, payer follow-up* You've built, run, or materially improved an RCM operation, and you can document it in process maps and business requirements* You've hired and led high-performing billing teams* Executive-level credibility with leaders at BH/SUD treatment organizations* M&A, operational due diligence, or integration experience strongly preferred**What success looks like**In 12-18 months: a productized RCM service customers want, a repeatable onboarding and delivery model, a growing book of recurring service revenue, a strong team, and a working framework for evaluating acquisition targets.**Details*** Full-time; Austin, Denver, Phoenix, Reno, or Los Angeles preferred* Competitive salary plus meaningful equity* Healthcare and 401(k) benefits
