DeepAware (Silicon Valley Robotics Center) operates across three layers of the robotics stack: **Hardware supply chain.** We source robots and parts from leading global manufacturers (Unitree, Deep Robotics, Paxini, Intel Realsense, OpenArm, and more) and run a fast-turn inventory and logistics operation — getting any SKU into US customers' hands within 72 hours. **Data and training.** We build teleoperation data collection pipelines, simulation environments in Isaac Gym / MuJoCo, and reinforcement learning policies for manipulation and locomotion. Much of this lives at the sim-to-real boundary, which is where most of the hard engineering is. **Deployment.** We integrate robots into real-world environments — AI data centers (cable management, inspection, thermal monitoring), industrial floors (quality inspection, material handling), and live events (interactive humanoid demos with scripted interaction flows). Our stack includes Python, ROS2, PyTorch, Isaac Sim/Lab, custom teleoperation rigs, and integrations with inventory/logistics systems. We're a small, fast-moving team that ships.

The role

Robotics Center of Silicon Valley (DeepAware, Inc.), YC S25 and NVIDIA Inception, is building the full-stack robotics supply chain: hardware, data, AI training, and live deployment under one roof. Our San Francisco lab puts 60+ robot platforms within reach and powers one of the largest real-robot datasets anywhere. We're building the infrastructure layer for physical AI.As a **Robotics Engineer Intern**, you'll develop and integrate autonomous systems across our fleet and at customer deployment sites — building the "robotic hands" that turn our platforms and datasets into production-ready systems for enterprises and researchers.## **Responsibilities*** Design robotic manipulation and navigation systems for constrained, high-density, real-world environments* Integrate vision systems for automated inspection, manipulation, and anomaly detection* Collaborate with AI/ML engineers to connect robotics control with real-time data and training pipelines* Bring up, prototype, test, and refine robotic hardware and software across our multi-platform fleet and at pilot deployment sites* Ensure the reliability, safety, and scalability of robotics solutions for continuous operation## **Requirements**We're looking for a true full-stack roboticist who is fluent across **software, hardware, and mechanical** domains:* **Software:** Proficiency with robotics frameworks such as ROS/ROS2, MoveIt, and OpenCV; strong control algorithms and the ability to iterate quickly in a startup environment* **Hardware:** Hands-on experience with embedded systems, sensors, actuators, wiring, and robot bring-up and integration* **Mechanical:** Working understanding of robot mechanics — arm kinematics, mounting and fixturing, end-effectors, and the physical assembly/debugging of real hardware* Demonstrated experience taking systems end-to-end, from prototype to deployed, across multiple subsystems* Strong problem-solving skills and comfort working hands-on with real robots## **Nice-to-Have*** Experience with industrial robotics, teleoperation, or multi-robot fleets* Computer vision model training and deployment* Sensor fusion, path planning, and SLAM / autonomous navigation* Experience across many robot platforms or hardware form factors**Location:** San Francisco, CA (on-site at our lab)## **Why Robotics Center?**You'll work hands-on with one of the largest concentrations of robot platforms anywhere, backed by YC and NVIDIA, building the infrastructure layer for physical AI.
