Head of Product (Malta)

We are looking for aHead of Product to take end-to-end ownership of product strategy, technical direction and delivery for a growing payment management platform.

This is a senior leadership role for someone who can connectcommercial strategy, product vision and technology, while building and leading high-performing Product & Engineering teams. The focus is on leadership, structure and strategic direction rather than hands-on development.

Key Responsibilities

• Own the product vision, roadmap, technical strategy and delivery.

• Translate business goals into clear priorities, features and engineering workstreams.

• Lead technical architecture and ensure scalability, reliability, security and compliance, including PCI-DSS.

• Oversee payment gateway and core platform integrations.

• Build and scale Product & Engineering teams through hiring, coaching and effective team structures.

• Establish processes and operating models that support predictable, high-quality delivery.

• Oversee releases, QA, UAT and CI/CD, removing technical blockers where required.

• Work closely with the CEO, COO and wider leadership team to align technology with commercial goals.

• Track product KPIs and use data, analytics and user feedback to drive decisions.

Requirements

• 5+ years in senior Product and/or Engineering leadership roles.

• Strong background inFinTech, Payments or SaaS, ideally with PSP integrations, settlement or financial data platforms.

• Experience owning a technical platform end-to-end and delivering products at scale.

• Strong technical understanding of architecture and engineering without needing to be hands-on in code.

• Proven experience building and managing Product & Engineering teams.

• Comfortable working directly with C-level stakeholders and linking technology decisions to commercial outcomes.
