We're looking for a high-impact, strategic, and results-drivenSenior Director to spearhead a  portfolio of companies in our Financial Services  Practice, including AI-driven finance,  investment, payments, crypto, real estate, through a fast-moving communications and technology landscape. You will act as both a strategic counselor to c-Suite executives and a hands-on driver of breakthrough media relations and narrative strategies.

Qualifications include: 

  • 10-12 years of PR agency or in-house experience working with emerging tech, fintech or financial services brands across areas that could include AI-driven finance, banking, payments, investment, crypto or real estate tech brands.
  • Experience framing technology transformations into compelling mainstream and trade narratives and helping clients navigate sensitive reputation issues, AI ethics, and crisis communications.
  • Adept at providing direct counsel to C-level executives and guiding them through shifting market dynamics.
  • Experience managing integrated programs across earned media, content and digital. 
  • Compelling communication and presentation skills.
  • Strong new business development skills with a proven track record of closing and retaining new clients.
  • Experience leading strategic workshops and initiatives including messaging, storyline development, thought leadership platform development and media training. 
  • Strong leadership skills with a commitment to accountability, talent development and mentorship.
  • Proven track record of directing multiple teams while staying close to the execution and tactical output in order to support practice growth.. 
  • Bachelor’s degree.
  • Bonus points for experience in public affairs and advocacy, financial communications and/or investor relations.



 

 

🧐 Move with Purpose 

Day-to-day you will: 

  • Own client retention, product/service evolution, account performance, and portfolio growth. 
  • Drive high-level media strategy while remaining hands-on with pitch execution, key press outreach, and high-stakes media moments.
  • Serve as an authoritative, trusted strategic partner to client contacts and their executive teams, guiding their brand  to help them reach their full potential.
  • Set and plan against revenue goals, talent development, agency marketing, lead generation and new business development for the Financial Services practice group, with a focus on growing our portfolio of growth-stage/established fintech and traditional financial services brands.
  • Proactively lead and close new business efforts from start to finish with minimal oversight. 
  • Generate new revenue with existing clients. You have a keen eye for timing strategic recommendations that align the scope of work to meet the needs of our clients.
  • Work with our specialists to provide clients with programs that integrate traditional PR, digital, and social media platforms.
  • Serve as a steward of Mission North’s values and operating principles. 
  • Mentor and coach staff across all levels of skills development.
  • Work closely with fellow account leads to direct account staffing and forecasting.
  • Represent Mission North and our clients at industry events for new business networking and personal professional development.

Compensation

Actual compensation within the pay range will be decided based on factors including, but not limited to, skills and prior relevant experience. 

Mission North cares about you and your overall well-being, and that’s why we offer a comprehensive benefits package, for full-time employees, that includes healthcare benefits, a 401(k) plan including an employer match, short-term and long-term disability coverage, basic life insurance, wellbeing benefits, paid time off, paid parental leave, and several paid holidays, among others.

Pay Range:  Expected Salary range depending on experience: $150,000-$175,000, not including year end profit sharing bonus.
