Lawyer/Legal Counsel

Our client, a well-established multidisciplinary professional services firm based in Malta, is currently looking for a qualified and commercially mindedLawyer / Legal Counsel to join their growing team. In this role, you will provide corporate, accounting, legal, tax and HR services to both local and international clients, working within a dynamic and professional environment.

This is an office-based role with flexible hours, offering a salary ofup to €55K.

Please note that only candidates already based in Malta will be considered.

Role & Responsibilities

• Advise clients on corporate and commercial law, corporate structuring and regulatory matters

• Provide advice on Maltese taxation and how it affects corporate structures and transactions

• Handle company formations, restructurings, liquidations and dissolutions

• Draft, review and negotiate commercial agreements, transaction documents and corporate documents

• Prepare legal opinions and advice on more complex matters

• Deal with authorities, registries, notaries and external advisers

• Advise on employment law and HR-related matters

• Support clients with AML/KYC, GDPR and other compliance matters

• Stay on top of legal, regulatory and tax changes

Education, Skills & Experience

• Bachelor's degree in Law, recognised by the Maltese authorities

• Previous experience in corporate and/or commercial law, or at a CSP, in Malta

• Excellent written and spoken English

• Fluency in Maltese is a plus

• Good understanding of Maltese company law and corporate procedures

• Strong drafting, analytical and communication skills

• Keen eye for detail

• Ethical and able to keep information strictly confidential

• Candidates with a Maltese warrant to practice as an advocate, as well as experience in taxation, AML/KYC, GDPR, immigration, restructuring or liquidation, will be given preference
