Junior Auditor

Our client, a well-established and respected audit and assurance firm based in Malta, is currently looking for an experiencedJunior Auditor to join their dynamic Audit and Assurance team. This is an excellent opportunity to support partners in delivering high-quality audits for a diverse portfolio of clients, including international companies in financial services and other private enterprises.

This is a hybrid role offering a salary of up to €40K, depending on experience.

Please note that only candidates already based in Malta can be considered.

Role & Responsibilities

• Assist audit seniors and managers in completing annual statutory external audits for a portfolio of clients

• Prepare audit files and perform audit testing in accordance with International Standards on Auditing

• Support analytical reviews and assist in identifying and resolving technical accounting issues

• Assist in the preparation and organisation of audit documentation and working papers

• Support the preparation of financial statements under both GAPSME and IFRS

• Carry out basic accounting and administrative tasks during quieter periods

• Assist in documenting audit findings and preparing clear summaries for review by senior team members

• Support the planning and coordination of audit engagements to ensure timely completion

Education, Skills & Experience

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting in Malta, and part-qualified ACCA (or equivalent) or currently progressing towards full qualification

• 1–2 years of relevant client audit experience in Malta

• Good knowledge of IFRS, GAPSME, and auditing standards

• Strong analytical skills, attention to detail, and ability to work to deadlines

• Excellent communication and teamwork abilities

• Proficiency in English and Maltese is a must
