Bookkeeper

A well-established investment banking firm is looking for anBookkeeper to join their team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for maintaining accurate financial records, processing transactions, and supporting the finance department with day-to-day accounting and bookkeeping tasks.

This is anoffice-based role with a salary ofup to €35K.

Please note that for this role, we can only consider candidates who are based in Malta.

Role & Responsibilities

• Monitor daily bookkeeping activities to ensure accuracy and completeness

• Maintain company accounting records and prepare regular management reports

• Process system postings required for the preparation of management accounts

• Prepare and submit VAT returns in a timely manner

• Process invoices, receipts, and client payment documentation

• Reconcile bank statements and supplier accounts

• Assist with month-end and year-end closing procedures

• Liaise with external auditors when required

Education, Skills & Experience

• Studying or willing to work towards an accounting qualification such as ACCA is a plus

• Fluent in English, both written and spoken

• Previous experience in a similar bookkeeping role in Malta

• Proficient in Excel, Word, and accounting software

• Good understanding of VAT returns and basic accounting principles

• Organised with a strong attention to detail

• Able to work independently and manage multiple tasks
