업무 내용

• 민감 데이터 탐지, 검토 워크플로우, 접근 권한 거버넌스, 리스크 추적 및 개선 활동을 지원하는 내부 플랫폼 및 도구 설계·개발
• 조직의 민감 데이터 노출 식별, 분석 및 감소를 지원하는 백엔드 서비스, API, 데이터 파이프라인 및 자동화 워크플로우 개발
• 오브젝트 스토리지, 데이터베이스, 데이터 웨어하우스, 스트리밍 플랫폼, 메타데이터 시스템 및 프로덕션 서비스 등 대규모 데이터 시스템과의 연계 및 통합
• 보안, 데이터 플랫폼 및 제품 엔지니어링 팀과의 협업을 통한 비즈니스 및 리스크 요구사항의 엔지니어링 솔루션 구체화
• 데이터 오너 및 플랫폼 팀과의 협력을 통한 민감 데이터 저장, 접근, 변환, 공유 및 모니터링 체계 고도화 지원

자격 요건 

• 백엔드, 플랫폼, 인프라 또는 분산 시스템 개발 분야의 소프트웨어 엔지니어링 경험을 보유하신 분
• Python, Java, Go, Scala 등 하나 이상의 프로그래밍 언어에 대한 우수한 개발 역량을 보유하신 분
• 클라우드 인프라, 특히 AWS 서비스, IAM 개념, 권한 관리, 로깅 및 접근 제어 방식에 대한 이해를 보유하신 분

Role Overview

We are looking for a Staff Data Security Engineer to lead the design, development, and implementation of data security capabilities across the organization. This role will focus on protecting sensitive data, improving PII discovery and analysis, building internal security tools, and collaborating with cross-functional teams to reduce sensitive data exposure risks. 

What You Will Do

• Design and build internal platforms and tools to support sensitive data discovery, review workflows, access governance, risk tracking, and remediation. 

   

• Develop backend services, APIs, data pipelines, and automation workflows that help teams identify, analyze, and reduce sensitive data exposure. 

   

• Integrate with large-scale data systems such as object storage, databases, data warehouses, streaming platforms, metadata systems, and production services. 

   

• Work closely with security, data platform, and product engineering teams to translate business and risk requirements into practical engineering solutions. 

   

• Partner with data owners and platform teams to improve how sensitive data is stored, accessed, transformed, shared, and monitored. 

Basic Qualifications

• Software engineering experience, especially in backend, platform, infrastructure, or distributed systems development. 

   

• Good programming skills in one or more languages such as Python, Java, Go, Scala, or similar languages. 

   

• Good understanding of cloud infrastructure, especially AWS services, IAM concepts, permissions, logging, and access patterns.

Document Return Policy 

1. This notification is given pursuant to Article 11 (6) of the Fair Hiring Procedure Act.

2. A job applicant, who has applied but not been finally selected for a position at Coupang (the “Company”), may request the Company to return his/her hiring documents submitted pursuant to the Fair Hiring Procedure Act. the Company. In addition, if the hiring documents were destroyed due to a natural disaster or any other reasons not attributable to the Company, such documents will be deemed to have been returned to the job applicant.

A job applicant who wishes to request the return of his/her hiring documents pursuant to the main sentence of paragraph 2 above should fill out a “Request for Return of Hiring Documents” [Annex Form No. 3 in the Enforcement Rule of the Fair Hiring Procedure Act] and submit It by email (recruitingops@coupang.com). In such case, within fourteen (14) days from the date of identifying the receipt of the request, the Company will send the hiring documents to the job applicant’s designated address via registered mail. 4. In preparation for a job applicant’s request for the return of hiring documents pursuant to the main sentence of paragraph 2 above, the Company shall retain the original hiring documents submitted by the job applicant for 180 days from the completion of the recruiting process.
