Wisconsin Aviation is seeking a dedicated Avionics Technician to keep our General Aviation (GA) fleet flight-ready. In this role, you will work on a wide variety of airframes—ranging from Cessna and Piper piston singles to light twins and light jets. This position is perfect for a technician who thrives on the hands-on variety of general aviation, managing everything from minor tablet-mount installations to complete full-panel glass cockpit retrofits.


Key Responsibilities:

  • Installation & Testing. Set up, configure, and inspect aircraft electronic systems including navigation, communication, and flight control systems.
  • Troubleshooting: Diagnose and repair complex avionics and electrical system discrepancies to ensure peak operational efficiency.
  • Safety & Compliance: Maintain rigorous quality standards to ensure compliance with FAA regulations and maximum flight safety.
  • Cross-Functional Maintenance: Assist with flight controls, engine monitoring systems, and aluminum fabrication as needed.🛠️


Our Avionics is beyond guages and wires. We regularly handle structural tasks like aluminum fabrication, flight controls, and engine monitoring setup. 


Education and Experience RequirementsExperience:

  • 2+ years of professional experience in aircraft avionics or aviation maintenance.
  • Technical Skills: Proven ability to read and interpret wiring schematics, blueprints, and installation manuals. (CAD design experience is not required but is considered a plus).Certifications:
  • An FAA Airframe & Powerplant (A&P) license or an NCATT Aircraft Electronics Technician (AET) certification is highly desirable.
  • Education: High School Diploma or equivalent required; an Associate degree in Avionics or Aviation Technology is preferred.
  • Work Authorization: Must be authorized to live and work in the U.S. as a citizen or permanent resident.
  • Bonus: Having a pilot's license is not required, but it is a valuable asset.
