Job Type: Direct Hire
Pay Rate: $17.00–$19.00/hour, depending on experience
Benefits: Excellent benefits available upon hire.
Schedule: Fixed 2-2-3 schedule, 6:00 AM–6:00 PM or 6:00 PM–6:00 AM
Wire Drawing Operator Responsibilities:
- Inspect production equipment before beginning operations.
- Set up and operate industrial drawing machinery.
- Install and change dies according to production requirements.
- Monitor machine conditions and process parameters.
- Inspect products throughout production for quality and dimensional requirements.
- Collect samples for required quality testing.
- Record production quantities, downtime, scrap, and other operating information.
- Identify equipment problems and submit maintenance requests when needed.
- Assist with product and material handling.
- Maintain accurate production and inventory records.
- Maintain an organized work area according to 5S standards.
- Follow all plant safety, quality, and production procedures.
- Strong mechanical aptitude.
- Ability to set up and operate industrial machinery.
- Basic understanding of dimensional measurements and metrology.
- Ability to recognize production and quality deviations.
- Strong attention to detail.
- Ability to safely handle dies, tooling, materials, and production equipment.
- Strong teamwork and communication skills.
- Previous ERP or production-system experience is a plus.
- Ability to work a fixed day or night 12-hour schedule.
- High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
- Previous manufacturing or industrial machine-operation experience preferred.
- Wire drawing experience is highly desirable but not required for candidates with transferable machine-operation experience.
- Experience with wire and cable, metals, extrusion, rolling, tube/pipe production, or similar manufacturing operations is a plus.
