Job Title: Windows Administrator
Location: Hyderabad / Any Location
Experience: 4 to 6 Years (customizable)
Job Summary
We are seeking a skilled Windows Administrator to manage, maintain, and support Windows Server environments. The candidate will be responsible for ensuring system stability, security, performance, and availability while supporting business-critical applications and infrastructure.
Key Responsibilities
• Install, configure, and maintain Windows Servers (2016, 2019, 2022).
• Manage and administer Active Directory (AD), Group Policies (GPO), DNS, DHCP, and IIS.
• Monitor server performance and system health.
• Perform user account management, access control, and permissions administration.
• Implement security patches, updates, and antivirus solutions.
• Manage file servers, print servers, and storage solutions.
• Troubleshoot server, network, and application-related issues.
• Perform backup and recovery operations using enterprise backup tools.
• Support virtualization platforms such as VMware and Hyper-V.
• Monitor system logs and resolve incidents proactively.
• Create and maintain technical documentation and standard operating procedures.
• Coordinate with security, network, and application teams for issue resolution.
Required Skills
• Strong knowledge of Windows Server Administration.
• Experience with Active Directory, DNS, DHCP, GPO, and IIS.
• Knowledge of PowerShell scripting and automation.
• Experience in VMware/Hyper-V administration.
• Understanding of backup and disaster recovery concepts.
• Knowledge of Windows security hardening and patch management.
• Familiarity with monitoring tools such as SCOM, SolarWinds, Nagios, or PRTG.
• Basic networking knowledge (TCP/IP, VPN, Firewall concepts).
Preferred Skills
• Experience with Azure Administration or Microsoft 365.
• Knowledge of Microsoft Exchange and Office 365.
• Experience with SCCM/MECM for patching and software deployment.
• Familiarity with ITIL processes and ticketing tools such as ServiceNow.
Qualifications
• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field.
• Microsoft certifications such as:
o Microsoft Certified: Azure Administrator Associate
o Windows Server Administration Certifications
o MCSA/MCSE (preferred)
