As a Windchill Sr. Developer at ITC Infotech India Ltd, you will play a crucial role in the design, development, and implementation of Windchill PLM solutions. You will collaborate with cross-functional teams to deliver high-quality software solutions that meet business objectives. Your responsibilities will include customizing Windchill applications, enhancing system functionalities, and ensuring seamless integration with existing enterprise systems. You will also be involved in troubleshooting and resolving technical issues, providing support during the software lifecycle, and mentoring junior developers.
Key Responsibilities:
- Design and develop Windchill PLM applications per project requirements.
- Customize Windchill components including workflows, user interfaces, and reports.
- Collaborate with business analysts and stakeholders to gather requirements and propose technical solutions.
- Conduct unit testing and participate in system testing to ensure software quality.
- Ensure adherence to coding standards and best practices in software development.
- Provide technical support and guidance to end-users and junior developers.
- Stay updated with the latest trends and best practices in Windchill and PLM technologies.
Skills and Tools Required:
- Strong experience in Windchill PLM development and customization.
- Proficient in Java, J2EE, and XML.
- Familiarity with Windchill APIs and web services.
- Knowledge of database management systems, preferably Oracle or SQL Server.
- Experience with version control tools such as Git or SVN.
- Understanding of Agile methodologies and software development life cycle (SDLC).
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
- Relevant certifications in Windchill PLM or related technologies.
- Previous experience in a similar role within the manufacturing or engineering sector.
