Position Summary

The Certified Dietary Manager is responsible for planning, organizing, and directing the overall operation of the Dietary Department. This position ensures residents receive nutritious, appetizing meals while maintaining compliance with federal, state, and local regulations.

Key Responsibilities

• Manage daily operations of the Dietary Department
• Supervise, train, schedule, and support dietary staff
• Ensure compliance with all dietary, sanitation, safety, and infection control regulations
• Collaborate with Registered Dietitians, nursing staff, and interdisciplinary team members
• Maintain food quality, nutritional standards, and resident satisfaction
• Monitor inventory, purchasing, and budget management
• Conduct departmental audits and quality improvement initiatives
• Ensure proper food storage, preparation, and service procedures
• Participate in resident care planning and nutritional assessments as needed

Qualifications

• CurrentCertified Dietary Manager (CDM) credential required
• ServSafe Certification preferred
• Previous leadership experience in healthcare, skilled nursing, rehabilitation, or long-term care setting strongly preferred
• Knowledge of state and federal dietary regulations
• Strong organizational, communication, and leadership skills
• Ability to foster a positive team environment
• Commitment to providing exceptional service and resident-centered care
