Summary

The Production Scheduler is the operational heartbeat of Wavelynx's manufacturing function. You will own the translation of customer demand and sales forecasts into executable, day-by-day production schedules; coordinating across manufacturing, supply chain, contract manufacturing, quality, and engineering to keep product flowing on time. This role sits at the intersection of planning and execution: you will work in NetSuite daily and be the first person to flag and resolve schedule risks before they become missed shipments.

Duties/Responsibilities

Production Planning & Scheduling

  • Build and maintain the master production schedule aligned to customer orders, sales forecasts, and inventory targets
  • Convert MRP-generated requirements into firm production work orders and purchase triggers in NetSuite
  • Work with manufacturing engineering to develop capacity plans for each production line, including production totals, scheduling accuracy, shift structure, and planned downtime based on demand
  • Identify and resolve material shortages, capacity constraints, and lead time conflicts before they impact shipments
  • Adjust schedules dynamically in response to engineering changes, supplier delays, customer demand shifts, or manufacturing yield issues

Cross-Functional Coordination

  • Serve as the daily scheduling interface between Inside Sales, Manufacturing, Supply Chain, Quality, and
  • Communicate proactively with the Supply Chain Manager and contract manufacturing partners on schedule risks, material availability, and capacity needs
  • Coordinate with Director of Manufacturing on capacity planning for people and machines
  • Coordinate with the Supply Chain Manager on purchase order timing to ensure component availability aligns with scheduled production runs
  • Partner with Engineering to incorporate new product introductions, ECO changes, and product transitions into the production schedule without disrupting ongoing output
  • Monitor component inventory levels daily and flag shortage conditions with recommended corrective actions

Reporting & Continuous Improvement

  • Produce and distribute daily/weekly schedule adherence and on-time delivery reports to leadership
  • Track and report schedule attainment KPIs; identify root causes of misses and drive corrective actions
  • Identify opportunities to improve planning processes, reduce lead times, and increase schedule predictability
  • Participate in S&OP (Sales & Operations Planning) meetings, providing accurate short- and medium-term production capacity input

Required Skills/Abilities

  • 3–5+ years of production scheduling or production planning experience in an electronics, hardware, or technology manufacturing environment
  • Hands-on experience with an ERP/MRP system; NetSuite experience strongly preferred
  • Strong proficiency in Microsoft Excel for schedule modeling, capacity analysis, and reporting
  • Demonstrated ability to manage competing priorities in a fast-paced, dynamic manufacturing environment
  • Strong communicator; able to clearly convey schedule status, risks, and trade-offs to cross-functional stakeholders and leadership
  • High attention to detail and a bias toward proactive problem identification over reactive firefighting

Education & Experience

  • Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Operations, Industrial Engineering, or a related field; or equivalent experience.
