Amazon is looking for a results-oriented individual to join the AWS water infrastructure team. In this role, you will own the delivery of water and wastewater infrastructure for US data center expansion projects, driving projects from design through construction, commissioning, and hand-off to regional operations teams. You will be responsible for delivering multiple concurrent water projects across Texas and the southern US region, managing scope, schedule, and budget, and evaluating cost and schedule to deliver water for cooling requirements in existing and new sites. You will develop delivery metrics, communicate performance to technical teams and senior leadership, and serve as a key point of contact for water infrastructure delivery and risk. This role will collaborate with internal and external stakeholders to deliver a sustainable and cost effective water supply to AWS's data centers across Texas and the southern US.

You will direct external engineering consultants and general contractors, build scopes of work, and deliver engineering design through construction for water and wastewater utility systems, including coordinating site utility requirements, inspections, and compliance with federal, state, and municipal requirements. You will support due diligence on water and wastewater availability, cost, and reliable supply options to inform delivery of new projects and assist with utility communications and negotiations.

- Work with local water and wastewater utilities to coordinate site utility requirements, inspections, and compliance with federal, state, and municipal requirements and building codes.
- Develop delivery metrics and communicate project status, risks, mitigations, and successes to technical teams and senior leadership.
- Identify and deliver cost savings projects and initiatives related to water infrastructure and supply.
- Deliver projects that directly support water sustainability goals, building in system resiliency ahead of hand-off.
- Travel for site reviews, engineering evaluations, audits, and site launches, coordinating with regional water managers to deliver reliable water for data center operations.
- Up to 25% travel as needed for project execution where authorized.
