We are hiring for aFlex Shift position which will cover all three shifts where needed. 

Shift: 1st Shift 6am - 2:30pm

Shift: 2nd Shift 2pm - 10:30pm | Shift Differential $0.40 hour

Shift:3rd Shift 10pm - 6:30am | Shift Differential $0.50 hour

Job Summary

The Warehouseman Class I reports to the Warehouse Manager and is responsible for staging and unloading of all in-bound and out-bound production materials. The Warehouseman Class I uses the CitrOS/Sage ERP system to ensure accuracy and accountability. The position requires attention to detail, basic math and computer skills and the ability to communicate with the supervisor and all levels of Tipton Plant Management.

Primary Responsibilities

• Food Safety is the responsibility of all Ventura Coastal manufacturing employees. All Ventura Coastal manufacturing employees must be aware of CCPs in their area and how to document them appropriately.  All staff must report food safety and quality problems to their immediate supervisor in charge during their shift.
• Responsible for loading, unloading of all in-bound and out-bound production materials
• Ensure warehouse inventory of materials is in line with budgeted allowance.
• Perform inventory checks on a routine basis or as requested by the supervisor.
• Maintain fuel, batteries, oil and coolant levels in the forklift.
• During barrel out process bring in empty drums and remove full drums as needed.
• Perform daily forklift safety checks. Be aware of and report maintenance problems.
• Remove empty drums and remove full drums to keep the operation going. As needed.
• Keep warehouse clean and clear of debris. Use floor scrubber when necessary.
• Provide information to corporate planning in the absence of the supervisor.
• Prepare bills of lading and other documentation as required for both transfers, customer shipments, packaged product along with oil tanker shipments.
• Pick up and store raw oil, oil essence production.
• Pull blends as directed for COP production.
• Prepare and ship hazmat shipments following all safety regulations.
• Follow all safety and GMP/HACCP practices including the wearing of essential PPE.
• Act professionally towards the customer, visitors and vendors.
• Perform other duties as assigned which may include filling in for the plant coordinator as needed. 

Qualifications and Education Requirements

• High school diploma or the equivalent.
• Possess basic math and computer skills (Excel. Word)
• Possess a valid forklift license 
• Possess strong organizational skills
• Ability to work any shift as required.

Physical Requirements

• The ability to meet flexible and changing priorities and the ability to work under pressure is a must.
• 80 % of time spent on forklift in ambient temperatures
• 20% of time spent in a plant environment climbing stairs, ladders with occasional outdoor assignments
• Must have the ability to lift to 50 lbs.
