Project Civil Engineer
APM Terminals Elizabeth is seeking aProject ​Civil Engineer to support a landmark terminal transformation project that will shape the future of one of North America's most important container gateways. Thisroleofferstheopportunitytoleadcriticalcivilconstructionactivities,influencemajorinfrastructureinvestments,andhelpdeliverasafer,smarter,andmoreefficientterminaldesignedtomeetfuturegrowthdemands.
Reporting to the Civil Package Manager, the Yard Manager will play a key leadership role in managing civil works design reviews, construction delivery, contractor performance, project controls, and stakeholder coordination. Thesuccessfulcandidatewillworkcloselywithengineering,automation,electrical,equipment,andITteamstoensureseamlessprojectexecutionwhilemaintainingthehigheststandardsofsafety,quality,andoperationalexcellence.

- Leadandoverseeon-sitedeliveryofcivilworks,infrastructure,groundinvestigation,andrelatedprojectactivities
- Manageprojectscope,schedule,budget,safety,quality,andconstructionperformanceobjectives
- Reviewandprovideinputondesignpackages,tendersubmissions,anddetailedengineeringdeliverables
- Serveasakeypointofcontactforconsultants,contractors,andprojectstakeholders
- Monitorconstructionprogress,identifyrisks,andimplementmitigationstrategiesproactively
- DrivecompliancewithAPMTerminalssafetystandardsandfosterastrongsafetycultureonsite

- Bachelor'sdegreeinCivilEngineeringorarelateddiscipline
- 7-10+yearsofexperienceincivilengineering,constructionmanagement,orlarge-scaleinfrastructureprojects
- 3-5+yearsofexperiencewithincontainerterminals,ports,orrelatedmarineinfrastructureenvironments
- Strongunderstandingofcivildesign,constructionexecution,andengineeringprinciples
- Experiencemanagingcontractors,consultants,andmultidisciplinaryprojectteams
- Familiaritywithprojectcontrols,scheduling,riskmanagement,andcostcontrolprocesses
- Knowledgeofconstructioncontractsandprojectdeliverymethodologies;FIDICorsimilarcontractexperienceisadvantageous
- Excellentcommunicationandstakeholdermanagementskills
- Demonstratedabilitytoleadsafely,influencedecisions,anddeliverresultsincomplexprojectenvironments
- Strongorganizationalskills,attentiontodetail,andcommitmenttoqualityoutcomes
