We're looking for aBusiness Solutions Coach to join La Fosse Academy as we launch and grow ournew apprenticeship offering across Business Administration, Project Management, Improvement and Quality.
This is an exciting opportunity to join at an early stage and play a key role in shaping how our apprenticeship programmes are delivered, while supporting learners to build the skills and confidence they need to succeed in their careers.
You'll manage your own caseload of apprentices, delivering engaging coaching sessions, workshops and progress reviews and making sure every learner receives the structured, compliant support they need throughout their programme.
This is a varied role that combines coaching, training delivery, assessment and learner support. You'll work closely with apprentices and their employers to make sure learning is relevant to their role, progress is clearly tracked and development is aligned to the requirements of their apprenticeship standard.
Alongside delivery, you'll be responsible for maintaining accurate learner records, marking and assessing work, setting clear development targets and supporting English and maths where required. You'll ensure programmes are delivered in line with DfE funding rules, safeguarding and Prevent requirements, Ofsted expectations and our internal quality standards.
As part of a new and growing offering, you'll also have the opportunity to contribute to how our programmes evolve. You'll work with the wider Academy team to develop curriculum content, strengthen employer engagement, improve processes and continuously enhance the learner experience.

To be successful, you'll have:
Essential
- A Level 5 qualification, or equivalent significant professional experience, within a relevant business discipline such as Business Administration, Project Management, Business Improvement or Quality.
- Level 2 English and Maths, or equivalent.
- Proven experience coaching, training or assessing apprentices or learners within a business-related subject.
- Experience delivering teaching, learning or assessment within an apprenticeship programme.
- Experience managing a learner caseload, including progress tracking, target-setting and progress reviews.
- Current, up-to-date knowledge within Business Administration, Project Management, Business Improvement or Quality relevant to the standards being delivered.
- A strong understanding of safeguarding, Prevent and learner welfare responsibilities within an apprenticeship or further education environment.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to build strong relationships with apprentices, employers and colleagues.
- Confidence using digital platforms and the ability to learn learner management, e-portfolio and MIS systems.
- A willingness to work towards a recognised teaching qualification, such as the Level 5 Diploma in Education and Training, within an agreed timeframe if you don't already hold one.
- The right to work in the UK and willingness to undergo an Enhanced DBS check.
- The willingness and ability to travel to employer or placement sites when required.
Desirable
- A recognised teaching qualification such as a Level 5 DET, Cert Ed, PGCE or QTLS status.
- A recognised assessor qualification such as TAQA or CAVA, or currently working towards one.
- A relevant professional qualification or membership such as CMI, APM/PMQ, CQI or Lean Six Sigma.
- Previous experience working within a relevant business or professional environment outside of teaching or training, for example in administration, project management, business improvement or quality.
- Experience working directly with employers to align workplace learning with apprenticeship standards.
- Experience supporting learners with additional learning needs or embedding English and maths within vocational learning.
- Experience using learner management or e-portfolio systems such as Smart Assessor, OneFile, Aptem or similar.
- A full UK driving licence and access to your own transport.
- The ability to work autonomously and contribute to the development and continuous improvement of a new apprenticeship offering.
- A genuine passion for supporting learners throughout their apprenticeship journey.
