This is a highly visible and hands-on role at the intersection of accounting, investments, performance, and transaction processing. The successful candidate will lead a team to assess our current state capabilities and processes vs. the accounting needs of key stakeholders and redesign them to provide high quality decision-support information. This individual will be a subject matter expert on PIMCO’s investment accounting needs and will serve as a central point of contact for accounting considerations during the transformation and beyond.

Success in the role requires strong accounting technical skills related to accounting policy, industry-standard methodologies, accounting/valuation considerations, gain/loss, etc. The role will also require superior communication and organizational skills, a broad understanding of investment strategies, and an understanding of the middle office. The ideal candidate is willing to roll up their sleeves and actively engage in the work, diving into complex data, challenging assumptions, and driving positive change in the organization.
