VP & Global Industry Vertical - Energy & Utilities

A senior commercial leadership opportunity with a leading Digital Transformation and IT Services organization, focused on accelerating growth across the Energy, Gas & Utilities sector in the UAE.

Position Overview

The Vice President will lead the organization’s go-to-market strategy and revenue growth across the UAE’s energy, gas, utilities and adjacent infrastructure ecosystem. Reporting directly to the CEO, the role will own strategic business development, enterprise sales, key-account expansion and large transformation-led opportunities across government-linked entities, utilities, energy companies and major enterprises.

The successful candidate will combine strong UAE/Dubai market relationships with a proven track record of selling complex technology and digital transformation solutions. The role requires the ability to engage C-suite and senior business stakeholders, originate large opportunities, shape solution propositions with internal teams, and lead strategic pursuits from initial engagement through commercial closure.

Key Responsibilities

·Own the UAE sales strategy and revenue agenda for the Energy, Gas & Utilities sector, aligned with the organization’s overall growth objectives.

·Develop and execute a sector-focused go-to-market plan covering new-logo acquisition, strategic account development and cross-sell/upsell opportunities.

·Build and maintain senior relationships with C-suite, business heads, CIO/CTO/CDO, procurement, transformation and digital leadership across target accounts.

·Identify, qualify and originate high-value opportunities across Digital Transformation, IT Services, Cloud, Data & Analytics, AI, Cybersecurity, Enterprise Applications, Digital Platforms and Managed Services.

·Lead complex enterprise pursuits from opportunity identification and account strategy through solution shaping, proposal, negotiation and closure.

·Develop strategic account plans for priority Energy, Gas & Utilities customers and create multi-year relationship and revenue expansion strategies.

·Engage with government entities, government-owned companies, national utilities, energy producers, distributors, transmission organizations and large infrastructure businesses.

·Build executive-level networks across the UAE energy and utilities ecosystem and establish the organization as a strategic transformation partner.

·Work closely with solution, delivery, consulting, presales and commercial teams to create differentiated, outcome-led customer propositions.

·Drive pipeline development, sales forecasting, opportunity governance and accurate reporting to the CEO and senior leadership.

·Lead commercial negotiations, manage deal strategy and ensure disciplined pursuit of large and strategic opportunities.

·Monitor market developments, sector investments, government priorities, digital initiatives and competitor activity to identify emerging growth areas.

·Represent the organization at relevant industry forums, executive meetings, customer events and strategic business engagements.

·Develop partnerships and ecosystem relationships that strengthen market access and accelerate growth within the sector.

·Mentor and lead sales/account management resources as the UAE business scales, fostering a high-performance and client-centric culture.
