About the Role:
We are seeking an experienced, trustworthy volunteer to support us in building strong, clear, and sustainable financial processes. Ideally, you bringa strong understanding of the German finance/tax system andnonprofit structures, and you’re excited to contribute your knowledge to help a mission-driven team grow in the right direction.

Responsibilities:

In order to apply for the volunteering positionit is mandatory to have participated in one workshop.

• Help usdesign and structure our internal financial systems (budgeting, tracking, reporting)

• Offer guidance ontax and legal compliance for nonprofits in Germany

• Support the setup of tools or processes based on best practices

• Optionally train or support team members as needed

Ideal Background:

• Strong experience in finance, accounting, or financial management

• Knowledge of theGerman finance and tax system (especially forgUGs, e.V.s, or other nonprofit structures)

• Experience working with or advisingnonprofit organizations in Germany

• Bonus: fluent in German (or comfortable navigating German documentation)

• Reliable, structured, and comfortable working independently and collaboratively

Note:
If someone hasstrong financial experience but not yet nonprofit or German-specific knowledge, we are happy to provide onboarding and support. The most important qualities areexperience, structure, and motivation to contribute meaningfully.
