In an environment of continuous quality improvement, the Volunteer Assistant supports the recruitment, coordination, and recognition of volunteers while also assisting in the planning and execution of events. This role plays a key part in fostering a positive volunteer experience and ensuring the smooth operation of organizational events.Ā Exhibits the MHS Standards of Excellence and exercises strict confidentiality at all times.

Job Functions:
- Provides clerical/administrative support for the volunteer departmentās function throughout the organization.
- Provides assistance to volunteers, addressing questions, providing guidance, and helping resolve any concerns.
- Help plan, organize, and execute special events, including community outreach activities, fundraisers, and internal celebrations.
- Assist in event day operations, including registration, guest support, and clean-up.
- Assumes all other duties and responsibilities as necessary.
Qualifications
Minimum Education/Experience Required:
- High school diploma or GED with two years of office or related experience required.Ā
- An associateās degree in a relevant field is preferred.
- Prior experience working with volunteers or in event coordination is preferred.
Ā
Special Knowledge, Skills, Training:
- Clerical skills with basic mathematics and computer background.Ā
- Good organizational skills and ability to maintain confidentiality as well as interpersonal/communication skills.
- Ability to read, write and do math as generally demonstrated by a high school diploma or GED.
