- Hands-on experience in below VMware product lines.
- VMWare vCenter 7.x and higher
- VMWare ESX Host, Cluster, and Data stores
- VMWare ARIA Log Insights & vROPS
- VMWare vCenter API Management.
- VMware Cloud Foundation 5.x and vSAN management
- VMware vSphere Replication and Site Recovery Manager
- Experience in managing Dell VxRail HCI systems.
- Good Experience VMware HCX migrations
- Good hands-on command line of ESX (ESX CLI) & vSphere PowerCLI.
- Managing and troubleshooting skills in VMWare VCF & ESXi Server Infrastructure.
- Performance tuning of VMware Servers and Virtual Sessions and management of server's resources between Virtual Machines.
- Should have working experience and technical acumen in understanding overall VMWare based software Defined Datacentres (SDDCs)
- vCenter Architecture and all the subcomponents inclusive of ESX Hosts, Clusters, Data stores, etc.
- Good to have working knowledge of VCF & Azure VMware Solution (AVS)
- Able to independently plan, design and execute (complex) changes.
- Root Cause & System Log Analysis and reporting.
- NetApp NAS understanding will be added advantage.
- Physical OEMs hardware (DELL) Administration / Configuration / Troubleshooting
- Server Monitoring tools and reporting
- Skills on Hardware monitoring tool like Dell OME & SCG.
- Migrations and Upgrades of VMware Products like vROPS, VCF, HCX , Log Insights ,etc.
- Managing Backups and Restore along with understanding of VMware Snapshots and Disk Consolidations.
- Experience in ITSM tools (ServiceNow) and processes (Incident, Problem, Change, Service Request)
- Experience in supporting VMware based Disaster Recovery Solutions.
- Creating, updating SOP documents.
- Good communication
