Visual Basic Developer & System Support

The Role

Are you someone who enjoys technology, solving problems, and figuring out how things work? Dakota Kitchen & Bath is looking for a Visual Basic Developer & Systems Support Specialist to join its team in Sioux Falls. This position combines software development, database administration, and reporting with hands-on IT support, giving you the opportunity to work across different areas of the business. This is a great opportunity for someone early in their IT career who wants to build practical skills, take on new challenges, and grow with the organization.

What You’ll Do

• Develop and maintain internal applications that support business operations.
• Administer SQL databases. 
• Create and maintain reports that help employees access useful business information.
• Maintain and troubleshoot supporting software and hardware.
• Set up computers, configure user accounts and assist with user access, networking, Window systems and other IT infrastructure and help employees get the technology they need to do their jobs.
• Learn new tools and technologies as business needs and systems evolve.

What We’re Looking For

Required Qualifications

• Education, training, or experience in software development, database administration and general information technology.
• Programming experience(specifically VB.net).
• Basic understanding of SQL and database administration.
• Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to communicate clearly with both technical and non-technical colleagues.
• Curiosity, initiative, and a willingness to ask questions and learn new skills.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience withVB.NET
• Experience with Microsoft SQL Server and T-SQL.
• Experience creating reports with Crystal Reports or similar reporting tools.
  
• Exposure to domain networking and systems administration.
