Ripon College invites applications for a two-year full-timeVisiting Assistant Professor of Biologystarting August 2027.
The successful candidate will teach Microbiology and will contribute to a curriculum supporting biology, biomedical science, and biochemistry majors, including but not limited to Introductory Biology and an upper-division course in the area of expertise. Experience in public health or epidemiology is desired, but not required. All Ripon College faculty advise students, provide service to the college, and contribute to the distinctive Catalyst core curriculum. The expected teaching load is 6 courses per year or equivalent and mentoring senior thesis research projects. Successful applicants will have teaching experience, the ability to mentor undergraduate senior research theses, and a completed Ph. D. by August 2027.

Required Qualifications:
- Ph.D. or ABD in the Biological Sciences
- Ability to teach microbiology and other core courses in the department
- Strong commitment to student-centered active learning and student engagement
Preferred Qualifications:
- Ability to mentor undergraduate senior research theses
- Experience in public health or epidemiology
- Demonstrated experience working in multicultural environments
- Willingness to develop courses building on the established curricula
- Willingness to engage in collaborative work across disciplines
- Evidence of teaching experience
