About the team

You'll join the team of packaging designers that work on development of all new products in Vilgain. 

You will work closely with the category managers and regulatory team to lead each project to completion.

Your mission 🎯

This role is aboutowning and shaping the packaging look of Vilgain as the portfolio continues to scale. The goal is to keep the packaging systemtight, premium, recognizable, and consistent, even as more products are added. It is a stronglyhands-on role — not just giving feedback, but actively working onlayouts, typography, packaging files, and design details yourself. A key part of the role is maintainingvisual restraint, buildingclear systems, templates, and rules rather than isolated designs, and making sure the packaging works not only aesthetically but also inreal production conditions, including materials, printing, and logistics. The role works in close collaboration with thePackaging Manager and NPD team, turning product requirements into strong and realistic packaging solutions while balancing design quality with technical feasibility and timelines. It also requires a proactive mindset, with a focus on improving materials, structures, and cleaner scalable solutions as the range grows.

What will you do?

• Own the packaging look
  You’ll help lead how Vilgain packaging looks and evolves. As the range grows, the design must stay tight, recognizable, and premium — not diluted.

• Design yourself
  This is not a “review and comment” role. You will work directly on layouts, typography, and packaging files. You should enjoy sitting in the details.

• Fight visual noise
  We believe in restraint. Fewer elements, better hierarchy, stronger impact. You should naturally remove things, not add them.

• Build systems, not just designs
  Vilgain is scaling fast. We need templates, rules, and structure that make 200+ products feel like one clear family.

• Make packaging work in real life
  Your design has to survive production, materials, printing, and logistics. Nice mockups are not enough.

• Work closely with Packaging & NPD
  You’ll collaborate daily with the Packaging Manager and NPD team to translate product requirements into strong, realistic packaging solutions. You need to be comfortable balancing design quality with technical and timeline constraints.

• Push things forward
  You should actively look for better materials, smarter structures, and cleaner solutions — especially as the portfolio gets bigger.

What do we expect from you?

• Strong experience inFMCG / food packaging

• A portfolio that showsminimalist, structured design (not branding-only projects)

• Clear proof you understandtypography, grids, and layout discipline

• Experience working onlarger product ranges, not just a few hero packs

• High personal standard — you notice when something is slightly off

• Comfortable working cross-functionally, not in a design bubble

• Knowledge of Indesign, Illustrator, Photoshop

Your first 3 months

Be familiar with the design process, deliver new designs of products. Cooperate with the teams to move fast and complete tasks on time.
