Job Summary

Provide support to the marketing department by producing quality image, video, and audio content for both internal and external communication projects. The Videographer will be primarily responsible for overseeing the coordination and execution of video programming and providing onsite audio-visual services for all Heart of Texas Goodwill meetings and events.

 

Key Responsibilities


The following duties are representative of the essential functions of this position. Additional duties may be assigned as operational needs require.

Video Production & Equipment

  • Capture, edit, and produce video content for internal and external communications, including marketing campaigns, training materials, mission-focused storytelling, and event coverage.
  • Execute studio and field-based video productions, including setting up shots and managing creative direction.
  • Set up and operate video, audio, lighting, and teleprompter equipment for shoots.
  • Perform post-production tasks such as editing, color correction, and motion graphics using industry-standard software.
  • Provide technical support for A/V needs at corporate meetings and special events, including setup and troubleshooting.
  • Schedule and perform routine maintenance and inventory of all studio and A/V media equipment; ensure equipment is ready and available for use.
  • Maintain an organized digital asset library, ensuring accessibility and consistency across media files.
  • Secure and organize media consent forms for individuals featured in visual content.
  • Engage internal and external customers with a positive, collaborative attitude.

This position has no supervisory responsibilities.

Qualification Requirements

  • All individuals must pass a drug screen.
  • A criminal background check is required.
  • Must have a valid driver's license and pass a motor vehicle report. Must show proof of current driver's license and minimum auto liability insurance coverage.
  • Must be willing to accept instructions and carry them out with minimal supervision.
  • Must be able to work and cooperate with others.

 

Education and/or Experience


Associate degree (A.A.) in Film and Digital Media, Graphic Design, or equivalent from a two-year college or technical school with two (2) years of related experience and/or training strongly preferred, or equivalent combination of education and experience. Expertise in desktop publishing, graphics/photo imaging, and video editing software strongly preferred.

Minimum Requirements

  • Associate degree in Film and Digital Media or equivalent; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Minimum two (2) years of related experience in video production.
  • Must maintain a valid driver's license with a driving record acceptable to Goodwill's liability insurance provider.

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities

  • Proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite (InDesign, Illustrator, Photoshop, Premiere Pro) and/or equivalent design and video editing software.
  • Experience with video production including camera operation, lighting, audio, and post-production editing.
  • Proficiency in social media platforms (LinkedIn, Instagram, Facebook, YouTube, TikTok) and web publishing tools (WordPress or equivalent).
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite or G-Suite.
  • Strong time management and multi-tasking skills; ability to self-coordinate competing deadlines and priorities.
  • High attention to detail and accuracy in all design and production outputs.
  • Strong self-direction and ability to work independently as well as collaboratively in a team environment.
  • Ability to maintain high standards of confidentiality related to organizational operations and program participant information.
  • Flexibility to work varied hours to accommodate events, content collaborators, and operational needs.

  • Frequently required to sit and work at a computer for extended periods to complete design and editing tasks.
  • Frequently required to communicate verbally and in writing with internal staff, external partners, and event attendees.
  • Required to operate video, audio, lighting, and A/V equipment; may require kneeling, reaching, or standing for setup and production activities.
  • Required to drive a vehicle for field productions, event coverage, and community engagements.
  • Occasional lifting or carrying of equipment and materials up to 30 pounds.

 

Work Environment

The work environment characteristics described here are representative of those an employee encounters while performing the essential functions of this job.

  • Work is performed primarily at Corporate Headquarters and in the field at various community, retail, and event locations. The noise level in the work environment ranges from quiet to very noisy depending on location and event. Flexibility to work varied hours, including evenings and weekends, is required for event coverage and production needs.
