Unlike traditional automotive shops, our success is not measured by installation profitability. Our work creates firsthand product knowledge, videos, and trusted information that help thousands of neighbors confidently choose products, install them themselves, or work with our network of great local shops. As ourVideo Shop Manager, you'll be responsible for leading our installation shop, developing teammates, and creating an environment where excellent vehicle installations support industry-leading content. This role requires someone who can balance technical expertise with strong leadership, think ahead to solve problems before they happen, and recognize that every installation is an opportunity to learn something worth sharing. The goal isn't just to get the installation done. It's to make every installation count.

What You Will Do

• Own shop operations, vehicle scheduling, installation quality, safety, and on-time delivery.
• Anticipate scheduling conflicts, product needs, and technical challenges.
• Collaborate with video, demo, test-fit, and content teams to maximize valuable content opportunities.
• Ensure installations produce accurate, useful information from firsthand experience.
• Create personalized neighbor experiences through proactive communication and follow-through.
• Hire, coach, and develop teammates in technical, business, and emotional skills.
• Set clear expectations, provide direct feedback, and develop teammate ownership.
• Encourage curiosity, experimentation, and continuous improvement.
• Connect daily shop activities to etrailer's small shop purpose and values.
• Maintain tools, equipment, facilities, and organized work areas.

This role is for an experienced automotive or shop leader who wants to do more than manage installations and keep vehicles moving through the shop.

You should be comfortable leading a team while staying connected to the technical details of the work. You'll need to understand shop safety, tools, equipment, installation processes, and workflow, but you'll also need the communication and leadership skills to bring people together around a shared purpose.
