- Edit longer video projects from raw footage through final export.
- Manage pacing, structure, and storytelling to create cohesive viewing experiences.
- Refine cuts based on project requirements and creative feedback.
Motion Graphics & Visual Enhancement
- Apply motion graphics, transitions, and visual effects where appropriate.
- Perform color grading and sound design to improve overall video quality.
- Maintain visual and audio consistency across deliverables.
Asset & Project Organization
- Maintain organized libraries of footage, project files, and final exports.
- Keep files structured and accessible to support efficient collaboration.
- Ensure project assets are managed properly throughout the editing process.
Creative Collaboration & Feedback
- Work closely with the design team to understand briefs and creative expectations.
- Share progress cuts and incorporate feedback in a timely, professional manner.
- Contribute creative ideas that improve storytelling and strengthen the final product.
Quality Control & Final Delivery
- Review edits before submission to identify and correct technical issues.
- Check audio synchronization, export settings, visual artifacts, and overall presentation.
- Deliver polished videos in the required formats and aspect ratios.
Required Experience & Skills
- Demonstrated experience as a video editor, supported by a portfolio showcasing a range of content types and styles.
- Proficiency in industry-standard editing software such as Adobe Premiere Pro, Final Cut Pro, DaVinci Resolve, or equivalent.
- Solid understanding of color grading, audio mixing, and motion graphics fundamentals.
- Experience editing videos for vertical, square, and widescreen formats.
- Strong understanding of pacing, composition, and visual storytelling.
- Ability to interpret creative briefs and translate them into effective video content.
- Comfort receiving feedback and making revisions within agreed timelines.
- Strong attention to detail, organization, and time management.
What Makes You a Strong Fit
- You take ownership of projects from the first cut through final delivery.
- You care about the quality of your work and continuously look for ways to improve your editing skills.
- You communicate proactively when timelines change or creative direction needs clarification.
- You respond constructively to feedback and collaborate to achieve the best final result.
- You balance creativity with technical precision and consistency.
- You work independently while keeping teammates informed of progress and project status.
What Success Looks Like
- High-quality short-form and long-form videos that align with the creative direction.
- Strong pacing, storytelling, and visual consistency across deliverables.
- Accurate exports that meet platform and project specifications.
- Organized project files and efficient asset handoffs.
- Timely delivery of edits and revisions.
- Consistent collaboration with the design team and proactive communication throughout the editing process.
Typical Day
You’ll start by reviewing new project briefs, footage, and assets shared by the design team. Your primary editing work may involve building a long-form cut, refining a short-form video based on feedback, or preparing final exports in multiple formats.
Throughout the day, you’ll share progress cuts, communicate with teammates asynchronously, incorporate revision notes, and review your work for technical and visual quality before delivery. Most of your time will be dedicated to editing, with regular touchpoints for collaboration and file handoffs.
