TheVice President, Supply Chain, Integrated Biologics is a senior leadership role responsible for the end-to-end Supply Chain organization across Lonza’s Integrated Biologics platform. This position leads the Integrated Biologics Supply Chain organization, including site Supply Chain Heads and global Supply Chain functions.
The role combines strategic leadership with operational execution, ensuring reliable customer delivery, effective network and capacity planning, strong inventory performance, supply resilience and operational readiness. It also plays a key role in enabling growth, transformation and scalable execution across the Integrated Biologics platform.
Key Responsibilities:
- Define and execute the Integrated Biologics Supply Chain strategy, aligning customer commitments, growth priorities, manufacturing capacity, financial objectives and operational execution across the global network.
- Lead the end-to-end Supply Chain organization across site and global functions, building a high-performing leadership team and strengthening capabilities, accountability and succession across the organization.
- Ensure reliable customer delivery through integrated demand and supply planning, S&OP and S&OE, production planning, material readiness, logistics, warehousing and inventory management.
- Lead network, capacity and inventory strategy, balancing customer service, supply resilience, working capital, cost and risk, while ensuring readiness for growth programs, new assets, technology transfers, launches and commercial ramp-ups.
- Drive Supply Chain transformation through process standardization, digital enablement, automation, advanced planning capabilities, data transparency and robust performance management.
- Partner closely with Operations, Quality, Commercial, Finance, Procurement, MSAT and other functions to manage risks, enable business priorities and ensure compliance with applicable GMP, GDP, Quality, EHS, regulatory and customer requirements.
Key Requirements:
- Master’s degree in Business Administration, Economics, Supply Chain, Engineering or a related discipline; an MBA is preferred.
- Extensive senior leadership experience across end-to-end Supply Chain within a complex global manufacturing environment, ideally in pharmaceutical, biopharmaceutical, biotechnology or CDMO operations.
- Broad Supply Chain expertise spanning demand and supply planning, S&OP, production planning, inventory, logistics, warehousing and network planning, combined with a strong understanding of manufacturing operations.
- Proven experience leading across multiple manufacturing sites and international networks, translating business strategy into execution and driving large-scale Supply Chain transformation and digitalization.
- Strong financial and commercial acumen, with the ability to balance customer service, capacity, inventory, cost, working capital and operational risk.
- Proven ability to build and lead high-performing teams in a matrixed organization, combined with strong strategic thinking, executive communication, influencing and decision-making skills.
- Business-fluent English is required.
- APICS and/or Lean Six Sigma qualifications are an advantage.
