JOB SUMMARY |
Strategically and operationally lead the Foster Care Departments, including the Transitional Resources for Children (TRC) Department, with direct supervision of Department Directors and program leadership. Additional areas of responsibility include Preventive Services, the Regional Permanency Center, Adoption/KinGap, and Family Development.
The Vice President of Foster Care will also have supervisory responsibility for the Transitional Resources for Children (TRC) Department, which encompasses Long-Term Foster Care, Shelter, and Transitional Foster Care, with direct supervision of the Senior Program Director for TRC.

- Sitting, Standing and Walking –TheVice Presidentwill be required tosit, stand and walk throughout the work day.

- Kneeling -TheVice Presidentmay occasionally kneel. This is defined as bending legs at knees to come to rest on knee(s).

- Work environment:The work environment characteristics described here are representative of those an employee encounters while performing the essential functions of this job. While performing the duties of this job, the employee frequently works in an office environment. The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate due to talk and movement of the program participants and other co- workers. The noise level can increase on occasion due to yelling or screaming by the participants of the programs.
Qualifications

QUALIFICATIONS |
- At a minimum LMSW or related field. LCSW preferred.
- Minimum of 5+ years of leadership experience in foster care
- Demonstrated expertise in working within the NYC Foster Care system as well as with the surrounding Local Districts of Social Services.
- Demonstrated knowledge of Office of Refugee Resettlement programs preferred
- Expertise in supervision, administration and program development
- Successful Track record designing and implementing new programs
- Computer Literate (Microsoft, Excel and CNNX)
- Ability to read, analyze, and interpret the most complex documents.
- Team player with solid planning, organizational and follow up skills
- Excellent communication, interpersonal and writing skills
