Description of assignment 

During your internship, you’ll join the Finance team at Vanderlande in Veghel and gain hands-on experience in different areas of Finance, with a focus on General Accounting. You’ll work alongside experienced finance professionals and support the team in its daily activities. Depending on the period and priorities, you can work on topics such as month-end activities and balance sheet reviews, VAT and Corporate Income Tax activities, audits, reporting to local authorities and following up on outstanding balances. You’ll also get the opportunity to help improve and simplify finance processes and learn how accounting, tax, reporting, and audits come together in an international environment. 
 
 

Department description 

The FSSC EMEA team is located in Veghel, at Vanderlande’s headquarters, and consists of 23 people. The team supports the EMEA region, and its main goal is to provide high-quality and professional services. Within the team, the focus is on General Accounting, Tax & Compliance, Credit Management, and maintaining and improving financial processes. Regular transactional activities, such as processing invoices and bank statements, are handled by colleagues in Pune, India. As an intern, you’ll work alongside experienced finance professionals and become part of the team from day one. 
 
Tasks/responsibilities 

• Support month-end activities and balance sheet reviews 

• Support VAT and Corporate Income Tax activities 

• Assist with internal and external audits 

• Support reporting to local authorities 

• Investigate and follow up on outstanding balances 

Your profile 

• Curious, proactive and eager to learn 

• Enjoy working with numbers and understanding how things work 

• An interest in Finance and Accounting in an international environment 

• Not afraid to ask questions and share your ideas 

• Eager to gain practical experience and take ownership of your activities 

• *Mandatory enrolment to a Dutch Education System & resident of The Netherlands 

What we offer 

• A monthly internship allowance (based on a 40-hour work week): 

Bachelor: €500 per month 

Master: €550 per month 

• Full commuting allowance, including public transport, depending on whether you have access to free public transport or not
