Data Solution Architect (Azure)

We're looking for aData Solution Architect (Azure) to join our team in Amsterdam, Netherlands in a hybrid working mode. In this role, you will design scalable data solutions, develop architecture standards and ensure robust data integration for enterprise supply chain platforms. You will contribute to improving business performance by creating logical data models, implementing data lineage and defining assets within Databricks Unity Catalog. This position requires strong collaboration with senior architecture leadership and technology partners to align solutions with enterprise architecture principles.

Responsibilities

• Develop and govern architecture for data solutions to ensure compliance with enterprise standards
• Design logical data models, define data lineage and register data products in Unity Catalog
• Provide solution architecture consultancy and assurance for projects to align with best practices
• Translate architectural guidelines into practical designs and solve common technical challenges
• Produce architecture views and solution designs using tools such as BiZZdesign Enterprise Studio or equivalent
• Actively identify, evaluate and recommend new technologies to optimize business performance
• Apply architectural standards, manage step-outs when required and promote artefact reuse
• Participate in architectural governance, maintaining documentation and decision logs
• Collaborate with senior business stakeholders to ensure solutions meet strategic objectives
• Mentor and guide development teams on data architecture and integration practices

Requirements

• Strong experience designing solutions for Azure-based data platforms
• In-depth knowledge of data architecture principles, including data integration and data products
• Ability to design scalable end-to-end data ingestion and consumption patterns
• Hands-on experience with Databricks Unity Catalog for lineage and cataloguing processes
• Proficiency in creating architecture documentation and models using enterprise tools
• Understanding of enterprise reference architectures, cloud patterns and integration standards
• Familiarity with DevOps concepts and agile delivery methodologies
• Strong communication and stakeholder engagement skills across senior leadership levels

Nice to have

• Experience using BiZZdesign Enterprise Studio or similar enterprise architecture tools
• Knowledge of enterprise regulatory standards and compliance requirements
• Previous experience in supply chain or large-scale data platform environments
