Location: 100% REMOTE, 8-5 EST highly ideal (can be slightly flexible)
Length of Assignment: 6 months with Possible Conversion / Extension
Pay Rate: $50 to 60/hr. on W2 ONLY
Team Background and Possible Preferred Candidate History: HCI (Human Computer Interaction) anthropology, psych, or descriptive stats (if they have this experience be able to speak to it, preferred not necessary), business experience, public health (UX research from a mixed method perspective).
Candidate preferred industry background:financial, insurance, healthcare (experience with regulated industries) Team consists of 7 other researchers.
Key responsibilities:You will work cross functionally with product owners, product managers, experience designers, content designers, and other partners to help identify and define research projects and objectives 1. You will scope, plan, and conduct user research and testing projects end-to-end. 1. Able to suggest appropriate methods for questions asked by product, design, and other partners 2. Able to decide and advocate for appropriate sample size for each method 2. You will independently program research studies into necessary tools, conduct quality assurance 3. Analyze results, generate actionable insights and share them with partners as well as the broader organization.
Must have technical skills/experience (4-5 Years of experience Required):
1. A great understanding of UX research modalities and methods (generalist),
2. At least 5 years of experience in remote, in-person, moderated, and unmoderated user research; including but not limited to usability testing, interviews, surveys, click test, card sorts, tree testing, etc.
3. Experience with testing platforms: Maze is mandatory.
Flex Skills:
1. Glass Box and/or Qualtrics (additional optional)
2. At least 3-4 years of experience working in finance, insurance, or healthcare (regulated industries),
3. Experience with AI Research,
4. Great active listening skills,
5. Strong storytelling skills,
6. Ability to take initiative and ownership of projects end-to-end,
7. Collaboration with teammates and partners,
8. Being open to feedback Soft skills that would make a candidate successful in this role: Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
Education:Bachelors Degree minimum Required
Pre-Screening Questions:
1. What is your biggest strength as a UX researcher?
2. Where do you feel like you may have gaps from a methods perspective?
3. How do you keep up with industry trends?
4. How would you approach a research project for a product that is net new?
5. How would you handle situations where stakeholders are pushing back against research methodology or sample size?
Interviews: 1st round 1 on 1 (with HM and Manager if available). 2nd Round panel style – sharing portfolio/work. 3rd Round- technical round (no prior prep, will be given scenarios and answered during interview).
