We are looking for a UX Designer to join our Experience Design Team on a focused 6-month contract supporting pickup and drop-off experience design. Our mission is to define, design, and deliver the best possible experience to our customers through our innovative product and service. Create seamless flows, intuitive interfaces, and meaningful interactions that are accessible and delightful to build trust, enable new scenarios, and increase value to the customers. In this role, you will leverage existing patterns to create UX flows and configurations for how the robotaxi interacts with riders during the pickup and drop-off moments of the rider journey. You will work with cross-functional team members to design for the rider experience in key moments of the service.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Work towards gaining a clear understanding of our users.
- Ideate design concepts and solutions through creating UX rider flow and scenario mapping, UI concepts, and quick digital/physical prototyping to enable fast iterations in our design processes.
- Champion a human-centered design approach and share the value across the company.
- Continuous usability testing of concepts and clear presentation of feedback to de-risk the decision-making process.
- Understand the technological challenges of our design and work collaboratively with cross-functional teams of designers, researchers, engineers, and product managers, among others.
- Travel to service locations for site-specific analysis and experience testing
- Experience working with metrics and leveraging data to generate insights.
QUALIFICATIONS:
- 3-5 years of experience in Interaction, Service, or UX design.
- Experience with problem mapping, UX flows, and animation.
- Expert knowledge of design tools like Figma, Adobe, After Effects, or others to express the design work visually.
- Leveraging AI tools to improve efficiency in the design process.
- A portfolio showcasing relevant design work.
- Proven problem-solving ability and strong user empathy.
- Excellent verbal and visual communication abilities.
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:
- Experience designing for AI or tech industries.
- Interest in product inclusivity and accessibility
EDUCATION:
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in HCI or a related design discipline.

Compensation details listed in this posting reflect the base hourly rate or annual salary only, unless otherwise stated.
