AsaMaintenanceTechnician,youwillberesponsibleformaintaining,troubleshooting,repairing,andimprovingelectrical,automation,andcontrolsystemsacrossourmanufacturingoperations.Workingcloselywithproduction,engineering,andmaintenanceteams,youwillhelpensureequipmentreliability,minimisedowntime,andsupportcontinuousimprovementinitiatives.Thisisahands-on,site-basedrolelocatedjustoutsideGreatYarmouth,focusedonkeepingautomatedsystemsandmachineryoperatingsafelyandefficientlywithinafast-pacedmanufacturingenvironment.Thepositionisbasedon-site,working37.5hoursperweek,MondaytoThursdayfrom7:30amto4:00pmandFridayfrom7:30amto1:30pm.

How You Will Do It
  • Perform planned preventative maintenance activities in accordance with maintenance schedules
  • Diagnose and repair mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, and hydraulic faults on production equipment.
  • Respond promptly to equipment breakdowns and support production teams in restoring operations.
  • Conduct routine inspections of machinery and plant equipment to identify potential issues.
  • Maintain accurate maintenance records using a Computerised Maintenance Management System (CMMS).
  • Support continuous improvement initiatives to improve equipment reliability and reduce downtime.
  • Assist with installation, commissioning, and modification of machinery and equipment.
  • Ensure all maintenance activities are completed in compliance with health, safety, and environmental procedures.
  • Work closely with production personnel to identify and resolve equipment performance issues.
  • Manage and maintain tools, spare parts, and maintenance consumables.
  • Participate in root cause analysis investigations and implement corrective actions.
  • Support contractors and external service providers during maintenance projects.
  • Follow lockout/tagout (LOTO) and permit-to-work procedures where applicable

What We Are Looking For

Required:

  • 5+ years’ maintenance experience in a manufacturing environment
  • Strong mechanical and/or electrical fault-finding skills
  • Knowledge of preventative maintenance systems
  • Good understanding of HSE and quality standards
  • Ability to prioritise and work under pressure

Beneficial:

  • Engineering qualification (NVQ Level 3, HNC/HND or equivalent)
  • Experience with automated or assembly line equipment
  • Knowledge of lean manufacturing or continuous improvement tool
  • Knowledge of BS 7671 Wiring Regulations
