ABOUT THE ROLE

Join our Parent Pathways Penrithteam, where you willbe responsible forsupporting Parentstoidentify and reach their education and employment goals,ultimately contributing to their long-term economic security.The role of theMentor is to provide comprehensive support, empowering and encouraging parents throughout the program.  

The successful candidate willbe responsible for:  

• Build trusted relationships acrossa caseload of participantsproviding anelevated level of customer care and professional support throughout theirjourney 

• Foster meaningfulinteractionthroughinitial and ongoingparticipant appointments, guiding them to achieve theirgoals andunique program objectives 

• Identify and address barriers to employment through referral to relevant community support services and provideongoingmentoring  

• Facilitate job placements with local employers for job-readyparticipants and provide continuous support to ensure lasting employment success  

• Work both independently and collaboratively to exceed KPI targets, driving team and personal success 

• Ensure all tasks are executed in full compliance with Department guidelines, legislative requirements, and organisational procedures and policies

ABOUT YOU

• Possessa minimumCertificate III qualification in fields such asEmployment Services, CommunityServices orother relevant areas.Or be willing to pursue a relevant qualification  

• Previous experience in a case management,employment servicesor social services is highlyregarded  

• Relevant lived experiencewould be highly valued, as it enriches our support for participants experiencing barriers, whilst navigating a complex system. Your personal journey will bring empathy, understanding, and empowerment to those weserve 

• Skilled in empowering individuals tonavigatetheir barriers and fosterconnectionwith support services in thecommunity 

• Demonstrated success in a high-performingworkplace with a strong commitment to high quality values based humanservices 

• Advancedconflict resolution andproblem-solving skills 

• Well-developedskills incustomer service, coaching and administration  

• Excellent written and verbal communication 

• Strongcomputer literacy skills includingproficiency using MS Suite ofprograms  

• Must hold a Driver’s licence and a Working with Children Check or relevant state equivalent (or are willing to apply for a WWCC)  

• Applicants willbe required to undertake a policecheck, it is not mandatory to have a clear criminal history
