What you'll do...

The Manager, Content Strategy, Marketing Planning and Strategy sits at the intersection of marketing, content and storytelling, helping bring Walmart Connect’s story to life. The Manager, Content Strategy will support blog strategy, website content, event content, and programming and more.

We’re looking for someone who combines marketing instincts and editorial judgment with operational discipline. This person should be equally comfortable shaping a story and writing compelling copy as they are briefing creative partners and managing highly matrixed workflows. They should be able to translate complex business and industry topics into clear, audience-relevant content, confidently present recommendations to senior stakeholders and independently drive multiple workstreams in a fast-paced organization.
About the team:
The Walmart Connect marketing team defines and evolves a unified brand narrative that shapes industry perception through consistent messaging and compelling storytelling. This team ensures every content asset and campaign reflects a cohesive enterprise story, anchoring brand presence with differentiated thought leadership. Collaborating across functions, the team leverages data-driven insights to support strategic marketing planning and execution. Members contribute to brand strategy, content development, and project management, driving impactful marketing initiatives that align with Walmart’s objectives and enhance customer engagement across multiple channels.
What you'll do:

Support Walmart Connect’s blog strategy and develop and manage content aligned to business priorities, industry conversations and key moments.
Support programming and content strategy for Walmart Connect owned and operated events, developing narratives, agendas, session concepts, speaker briefs and scripts.
Develop and manage Enterprise page content, strengthening storytelling and evolving the content experience.
Develop and amplify Walmart Connect thought leadership in partnership with Vertical Marketing and cross-functional teams.
Partner with executives, subject matter experts, creative teams and agencies to manage content through development, review and final delivery.
Use content performance and audience insights to strengthen and optimize content strategy.

What you'll bring:

Exceptional writing, editing and storytelling skills with strong editorial judgment
Marketing instincts and understanding of how content supports broader brand and business objectives
Organizational and project management skills
Strong ownership, resourcefulness and ability to independently move workstreams forward
Ability to translate complex business and industry topics into clear, compelling content
Communication and presentation skills and confidence working with leadership

Minimum qualifications

6+ years of experience in marketing, content strategy, communications or a related field
Advertising, adtech, commerce media or related industry experience strongly preferred
Experience developing and managing content and programming for high-visibility events
Experience managing multi-layered workflows through cross-functional review and approval processes

The annual salary range for this position is $96,000.00 - $186,000.00 Additional compensation includes annual or quarterly performance bonuses. Additional compensation for certain positions may also include :
